Festive Collection for post Covid19 Indian weddings with Predesigned Masks

Inspiration
The collection draws inspiration from folk arts and textile crafts found in far-flung tribal belts spread across the undivided Indian sub-continent and is a functional Prêt-à-Porter line with each garment being a journey on its own, having its own story that comes with subtle twists and surprises.
Highlights
The collection hearkens back to the glory days of the erstwhile princely states of Patiala, Kapurthala, Gujranwala, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Oudh, Kashmir and Sindhh. Various techniques and elements are juxtaposed over one another in each ensemble yet there is a sense of harmony and balance
Drawing references from British era Indian chintz textiles and paisley shawls, indigenous fabric and handloom crafts such as vintage Bandhej fragments and brocades, sacred geometry found in Mughal era architectural jaalis and jharokhas, as well as traditional Indian embroideries such as Marodi ka kaam, Kashmiri Kashida and Rajasthani Karchobi, the collection has a certain aura of ease and timelessness- the classic silhouettes with their clean lines and crisp salwars are restrained with a sense of austerity and laden with nostalgia of simpler times while “understanding the consumers’ need for wearability, comfort as well as the weight of the garment given the New Normal post Covid19 Indian weddings…” was the driving force behind the design process. Each ensemble of the collection comes with a predesigned complimentary mask for their discerning clients.
