There are evenings that go beyond dining, and this was one of them. Invited by Sheta Bordoloi, Sr. Executive – Marketing & Communication, I stepped into L’Osteria Bella at Holiday Inn New Delhi Aerocity for the launch of Regional Nights, an exclusive celebration of the rich, soulful flavours of Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
From the first step inside, the setting struck a chord – rustic Italian-inspired walls, warm golden tones, and elegantly curated décor created a true Italian feel, almost like being whisked away to a countryside trattoria. The interiors told their own story: artwork reminiscent of Italy’s heritage, a golden glow spilling across intimate tables, and an ambiance that echoed the charm of Bologna and Modena. Every detail felt intentionally curated – not overwhelming, but effortlessly elegant – a space where food, conversation, and culture beautifully meet.
Dev Halder, Director of Sales & Marketing, extended a gracious welcome, and over light conversations, both he and Sheta shared the inspiration behind this festival – to bring an authentic slice of Italy to the heart of Delhi.
The restaurant, recently recognised as the Best Italian Premium Dining Restaurant at the Times Food & Nightlife Awards 2025, is hosting this festival until 31st August 2025. The specially curated menu takes you on a tour of Emilia-Romagna, featuring dishes that go beyond the familiar. One highlight is the humble trippa, elevated from its rustic roots into a delicacy that embodies the region’s heritage – soulful, hearty, and rich with flavour. Each plate that followed reflected the region’s philosophy: simple ingredients, profound depth, and stories carried through generations.

As the evening progressed, what stayed with me was not just the food but the warmth that wrapped the entire experience. The live pizza-making by Chef Rohan, the thoughtfully paired wines, the perfectly paced courses – everything felt personal, like being invited to a dinner table in Italy where food is not just served but celebrated.
