A Journey of Tourism and Friendship in 2025
This September, Pahang – Malaysia’s largest and most diverse state – is reaching out to India in a very special way. Through the Pahang Roadshow to India 2025, Tourism Pahang is bringing its stories, landscapes, and warm hospitality directly to New Delhi on 24 September and Chennai on 26 September.
More than a business event, this roadshow is a bridge — connecting the lush rainforests, highlands, and islands of Pahang with India’s vibrant travel community. It is about people meeting people: hoteliers sitting down with tour operators, destination managers sharing their passion with travel advisors, and tourism leaders inviting Indian families, honeymooners, and MICE travellers to discover a part of Malaysia that feels both refreshing and welcoming.
India and Pahang: A Natural Connection
India has always been close to Malaysia’s heart, and today it stands as one of the country’s fastest-growing tourism markets. Over a million Indian travellers visit Malaysia each year — drawn by visa-free entry, excellent flight connections, and above all, a cultural warmth that resonates across borders.
But Pahang is ready to show Indian travellers something new: mornings in the cool mist of Cameron Highlands, evenings by the turquoise waters of Tioman Island, wildlife encounters deep in Taman Negara, or the vibrant energy of Genting Highlands. It’s a state that offers the full spectrum of Malaysia — from adventure to romance, family escapes to luxury retreats.
As YB Puan Leong Yu Man, Chairman of the Pahang State Committee on Unity, Tourism and Culture, beautifully put it:
“This roadshow is more than a promotional exercise – it is a platform to build lasting partnerships with India’s vibrant travel community. We are excited to introduce Pahang’s hidden treasures and iconic destinations to Indian travellers and tourism stakeholders.”
Faces Behind the Welcome
The Pahang delegation will be led by passionate representatives including YB Puan Leong Yu Man, YB Arumugam A. Veerappa Pillai, Mr. Kamaruddin bin Ibrahim, and Ms. Nalini Letchumanon. Alongside them will be hoteliers, resort owners, DMCs, and experience curators who believe travel is about stories as much as destinations.
Indian media and travel professionals will not just hear about Pahang, but engage directly with those who live and breathe its culture. Each event will feature press conferences, networking luncheons, and conversations that go beyond brochures and presentations.

Looking Ahead Together
For Indian travellers, this roadshow opens doors to experiences shaped around their needs — from luxury weddings and MICE gatherings to eco-retreats, slow travel journeys, and family-friendly adventures. Co-created itineraries, special partnerships, and collaborations will make it easier for Indian outbound operators to bring Malaysia’s hidden gem into their portfolios.
Why Pahang Feels Like the Heart of Malaysia
What makes Pahang so special is not just its scale but its spirit. Within a single state, you can climb mountains, walk through ancient rainforests, unwind on golden beaches, or sip tea in the cool hills. It is a place where nature, culture, and adventure exist side by side — and where visitors are welcomed not as tourists, but as friends.
For Indian travellers seeking something beyond the familiar, Pahang is an invitation to discover Malaysia at its most authentic and diverse — just an hour away from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
