India’s Grand Send-Off for Future Doctors to Russia
Rus Education, India’s leading organization for facilitating medical education in Russia, hosted Sobraniye 2025, its annual pre-departure ceremony, at the Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi. The event served as a grand send-off for hundreds of Indian students preparing to begin their MBBS journey in Russia.
Bringing together students, parents, academic leaders, and dignitaries, the ceremony aimed to guide students for their academic and social life in Russia while reassuring parents about the opportunities awaiting their children.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Lt. Gen. Bipin Puri (Retd.), Director of Medical Services (North Zone), Apollo Group of Hospitals; Ms. Remizova Elena Sergeevna, Director, Russian House; Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Medical Director, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad; Dr. Vanita Mittal, General Manager Academics, Max Institute of Medical Excellence, Max Health Care; Mr. Rohit Mishra, Dean & Chief Academic Officer, Lincoln American University; and Dr. Priyansh Jain, Medical Lecturer & Faculty for NEET-PG and FMGE.
The dignitaries were felicitated by Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), who motivated the students with his message: “Become independent, become good individuals, and come back as good and effective doctors.” He also acknowledged Ms. Elena Barman, President of the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots, for her contribution in strengthening Indo-Russian ties.
More than 300 students participated in the ceremony, proudly wearing their white coats and stethoscopes to mark the beginning of their medical journey. The program also included interactive sessions with academic leaders, doctors, and alumni, offering practical insights into studying and living in Russia.



The event concluded with Rus Education bidding the students a warm farewell, extending its support from the auditorium to the airport, symbolizing the strong bond it maintains with every student.
With thousands of Indian students choosing Russia for affordable and high-quality medical education, Sobraniye 2025 once again highlighted Rus Education’s role in shaping futures and strengthening Indo-Russian educational relations.
