Designers Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna presented their collection titled Equinox on Day 5 at the FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week 2023 in association with Reliance Brands.
Sobhita wore a heavily-embellished silver skirt embellished with sequins teamed with a strappy blouse, and a matching dupatta and a long train.
Ishaan wore a black shimmery embroidered blazer teamed with matching black satin pants with straight-leg fitting.
Titled EQUINOX the collection featuring gowns, luxe tuxedos, and contemporary Indian formals is inspired from a phenomenon of the same name where the sun lines up with the earth to make day and night equal halves. This repeating moment in time holds ancient celebration, changing seasons and celestial romance in the grip of its truths.

- Mesmerizing patterns draw from the mathematical plotting of the sun and earth’s path, and their representation on vintage kaleidoscopic windows found across the world from Bombay to Manhattan
- Rich, unlined fabrics, and hypnotic 3D embroidery techniques. Every garment comes to life in colors that span the sky- shades of blue from Milky Way to vivid, and highlights in garnet, rosewood and twilight lavender.
- The craft in this collection however is in its representation of body art, or tattoos, on gossamer fabric.
RGRK’s ‘Equinox’ will be available online and in stores from the first week of August.
