The House of Lakmē Announces the Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI Grand Finale with Designer Tarun Tahiliani

Spotlighting Lakmē Be-Jewel: Reimagining Maximalism as Soft, Luminous Glamour for the Modern Indian Woman

The House of Lakmē has announced an exciting collaboration for the upcoming Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI Grand Finale, scheduled for October 12, 2025, in New Delhi. This season, celebrated designer Tarun Tahiliani will take center stage, bringing his distinctive design philosophy to life in partnership with Lakmē.

The finale will unveil the Lakmē Be-Jewel collection, a vibrant celebration of luminosity and quiet glamour. Designed to flatter Indian skin tones, the collection redefines maximalism with a refined, modern spirit. Opening the show, Tarun Tahiliani’s ‘Bejewelled’ line weaves together Indian craftsmanship and contemporary fluidity—think jewel-toned jackets, kimonos, and bomber jackets with a subtle, armor-like sheen, softened by chiffon and satin in rich hues of emerald, aubergine, amethyst, and ruby.

Accessories play an equally expressive role. Pearls and ornamentation appear as belts, handbags, and talismans that shimmer on the body, mirroring the luminous yet understated essence of Lakmē Be-Jewel makeup. Together, the fashion and beauty narratives merge into one story of modern adornment—where tradition and innovation coexist seamlessly.

Sunanda Khaitan, Vice President and Head of Marketing at Lakmē, describes the collaboration as a creative synergy that celebrates fashion as luminous, expressive, confident, and effortlessly wearable. Tarun Tahiliani’s signature mastery of draping and embellishment, she notes, perfectly complements the Be-Jewel philosophy—bridging India’s rich artisanal legacy with contemporary design sensibilities.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the collection, Tarun Tahiliani shared, “Being ‘bejewelled’ is not just about wearing gems—it’s about being adorned with memories, craftsmanship, and the textures of India. With this collection, I wanted to explore modern adornment—where layers, jewel tones, and embellishments evoke a quiet radiance without excess. It’s my take on India Modern: sculptural, sensual, and light enough to move from day into evening. I hope every woman who experiences this feels luminous in her own presence, not just through what she wears, but in how she carries herself.”

The Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI Grand Finale with Tarun Tahiliani is poised to be a dazzling conclusion to the season—a celebration of beauty, adornment, and modern Indian glamour that brings together the artistry of fashion and the radiance of individuality.
