Bridal Grace Redefined

Anshula Kapoor’s Chooda Ceremony Look by Punit Balana Celebrates Modern Bridal Elegance

For her Chooda ceremony, Anshula Kapoor chose a bespoke creation by acclaimed designer Punit Balana, embracing a bridal look that beautifully balanced heritage craftsmanship with contemporary elegance. Created exclusively for one of the most cherished pre-wedding rituals, the ensemble offered a sophisticated interpretation of modern Indian bridal fashion.

Rendered in a serene sage green, the custom kurta set featured Punit Balana’s signature Chandi Tilla embroidery, meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans. The intricate detailing celebrated India’s rich textile heritage while lending the ensemble an understated sense of luxury, perfectly complementing the intimate significance of the ceremony.

The silhouette reimagined traditional bridal dressing with effortless sophistication. A finely tailored kurta was paired with a contemporary interpretation of the classic Patiala salwar, offering ease of movement without compromising on elegance. A richly embellished dupatta completed the ensemble, adding depth, texture and a regal finishing touch.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Punit Balana shared the emotional significance behind the design.

“Being a Punjabi, I deeply understand the emotional significance of the Chooda ceremony—not just for the bride, but for the entire family. Designing this outfit for Anshula, with whom I share a long-standing bond, made this creation incredibly personal and special. It was an honour to be a small part of such a meaningful celebration in her life.”

The ensemble perfectly captures the evolving language of Indian bridal couture, where traditional artistry meets contemporary silhouettes. Instead of relying on elaborate embellishment alone, the design celebrates refined craftsmanship, thoughtful detailing and timeless elegance, making it a fitting choice for the modern bride.

As intimate wedding celebrations continue to shape luxury bridal fashion, Anshula Kapoor’s bespoke Punit Balana ensemble stands as a beautiful example of understated sophistication. Rooted in tradition yet envisioned through a contemporary lens, the look reflects the enduring appeal of handcrafted Indian couture and reinforces Punit Balana’s distinctive design philosophy.
