The prêt label moves from office tailoring to evening dressing in a show at Taj Palace, New Delhi
Amit Aggarwal will close the Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI Grand Finale on 18 October 2026, showing his prêt label AM.IT at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The collection is built on movement and change, and on what glamour looks like for a woman who goes straight from work to a night out.
H2: From Office Hours to Evening Plans
The show is a collaboration with Lakmé 9to5 and centres on the point in the day when work ends and the evening starts. On the runway, sharp tailoring relaxes, colour gets bolder and fabrics become richer. The looks follow a woman through her day, from morning meetings to dinner and whatever comes after.
H2: Inspired by Everyday India
Aggarwal took his cues from the streets of India, where handcraft and concrete, bright colour and practical design, function and ornament all sit side by side. He works these contrasts into the collection through proportion, texture, material and silhouette. The result is a wardrobe that can be precise one moment and easy the next.
H2: Lakmé 9to5 and the 5PM Glam Reset
The collection ties in with Lakmé 9to5’s 5PM Glam Reset, which is about makeup that carries a woman from her workday into the evening. The show also features the Lakmé 9to5 Hya Glam range, made for hydration and a strong glow.
Sunanda Khaitan, CMO, Beauty & Wellbeing at HUL, said the partnership reflects how a woman’s energy and style change through the day, and that Aggarwal’s fluid silhouettes capture that shift in clothing.

Aggarwal sees the collection as a fresh start for AM.IT. He is bringing the experimental approach and material work of his couture into clothes that are easier to wear every day.”Both fashion and beauty have the power to transform without asking you to become someone else. They simply reveal another side of you,” Aggarwal said. The collection lets go of the day’s formality step by step, through colour, texture, material and shape.
