Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla is hosting its global food festival, Feast Across Borders, a curated celebration of international cuisine designed for guests who appreciate refined dining and immersive culinary experiences in New Delhi.
I attended the recent media table as a preview of what the festival offers. The evening was intentionally relaxed, focusing on the food, service, and overall atmosphere rather than functioning as a staged or overly formal tasting.
A World on Plates
The entrance to Edesia, the festival space, was immediately captivating. Cabin bags were part of the décor, setting the tone for a culinary journey across borders. Guests were handed “passports” to show before entering Edesia — each stamped to mark the start of the experience. Flags and signs representing the countries whose cuisines were on display reinforced the airport-inspired theme, creating an elegant, immersive setup that felt thoughtful yet playful.
Curated by chef Jitendra and the F&B team, the menu featured a mix of Asian, Mediterranean, and Continental dishes — from delicately balanced stir-fries and sushi selections to slow-cooked Mediterranean flavours and European comfort classics. Live counters added freshness and interaction, allowing guests to experience dishes prepared in real time, enhancing both presentation and flavour without overwhelming the dining flow.
Interactive Dessert Moments
One of the highlights was the live Twist Bell Turkish Ice Cream station. The chef added a playful element by flipping and teasing the cones before handing them over, drawing smiles and laughter without making it feel theatrical. This light, interactive touch worked beautifully as a post-meal moment, particularly for families and group diners.
The dessert spread complemented this with a mix of classic international offerings and lighter finishes, keeping the finale balanced and elegant. As we were about to leave, we were gifted a beautifully packed cake — a small, thoughtful touch that extended the experience beyond the table.
