Unforgettable Experience at MKT’s Street Food Carnival ,The Chanakya New Delhi

My recent visit to MKT, The Chanakya’s “Street Food Carnival” was a delightful journey through a global tapestry of street food. Running from August 15th to 31st, this vibrant festival captures the essence of street food culture from across the world, offering a unique culinary experience right in the heart of Delhi.
The event features an array of international delights, each brimming with bold flavors and authentic street food spirit. From Italy to Japan, the Middle East to India, the menu is a tribute to the bustling markets that inspired it. I had the pleasure of sampling a variety of dishes that showcased the festival’s diversity.
We started with the refreshing Green Papaya Salad and the zesty Pomelo Salad, both of which were light yet bursting with flavor. The Chapli Kebab was a standout, perfectly spiced and tender, while the Hing Moong Daal Tikki offered a satisfying crunch with a delightful hint of hing. The Arancini di Risso, with its cheesy, crispy exterior, and the Bao Buns—filled with either Schezwan vegetables or succulent braised Belgium pork belly—were particularly memorable.
To end our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the Loaded Chocolate Treat, adorned with raspberry puree, which was a decadent finale to our culinary adventure.
A heartfelt thank you to Sahil Hingorani, the manager, and Rinki Saha Head Chef ,for their exceptional hospitality. Special mention must go to Umesh, who went above and beyond to explain each dish with enthusiasm and care, enhancing our dining experience.
