Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 unveils its show schedule

In association with Nexxus New York, the Fashion Design Council of India announces the official schedule for the 19th edition of India Couture Week, opening with a landmark showcase in Hyderabad before moving to New Delhi.

The countdown to India’s biggest week of couture has officially begun. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has announced the show schedule for Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, in association with Nexxus New York, set to unfold from July 23 to 29.

In a first for the platform, the 19th edition will open with a special inaugural showcase in Hyderabad on July 23 before the event moves to its traditional venue, Taj Palace, New Delhi, where six days of runway presentations will spotlight some of India’s most influential couturiers alongside a new generation of design talent.

This season’s line-up brings together celebrated names, heritage labels and two debut designers, reflecting the evolving landscape of Indian couture while reinforcing the event’s position as the country’s premier showcase for bridal and occasion wear.

Speaking on the announcement, FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi said the 2026 edition represents both continuity and growth for the platform.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce the show schedule of Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 in association with Nexxus New York. This year’s edition brings together a strong line-up of designers, representing legacy couturiers, established designers and two debut entrants. Their collections reflect the creativity, innovation and craftsmanship that continue to shape Indian couture. We are delighted to expand the journey of our platform with the Hyundai Inaugural Showcase in Hyderabad and look forward to welcoming the industry for our 19th edition.”

Hyundai Motor India continues its long-standing association with the event, reaffirming its commitment to design, innovation and luxury experiences.

Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said the collaboration reflects the brand’s shared vision with FDCI of celebrating craftsmanship while creating contemporary lifestyle experiences that extend beyond the automotive world.

Making its debut as the title associate, Nexxus New York will bring its salon-performance haircare expertise backstage throughout Couture Week.

Ashwini Rao, Vice President, Hindustan Unilever, described the partnership as a meeting of science and creativity, highlighting the brand’s focus on high-performance styling systems that complement the precision and artistry of couture collections.

Reliance Brands Limited also returns as a key partner, continuing its support for India’s luxury fashion ecosystem. Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President, Reliance Brands, noted that the company remains committed to strengthening the Indian fashion industry while showcasing the season’s defining festive and bridal trends.

Hyundai India Couture Week 2026, an initiative of the Fashion Design Council of India, is presented in association with Nexxus New York and supported by Kohler, with House of Glenfiddich joining as the Luxury Partner. Reliance Brands Limited continues as one of the event’s principal supporters.

Bringing together designers, buyers, celebrities, industry leaders, media and fashion insiders, the week is expected to celebrate the craftsmanship, innovation and artistry that continue to define Indian couture on both national and global stages.
