Deepika Padukone made a striking appearance at the Cartier Gala in Dubai wearing custom Gaurav Gupta Couture, reinforcing her position as one of India’s most influential global style icons.
Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, the bespoke ensemble featured a sharply tailored black jacket paired with a straight, full-length skirt, designed exclusively for the Cartier Gala Dubai. The look delivered a refined, elongated silhouette that balanced architectural strength with understated elegance.
The couture design is inspired by Starfall, a key silhouette from Gaurav Gupta’s Spring Summer 2026 couture collection, The Divine Androgyne, which was presented in Paris during Haute Couture Week. Reimagined for Deepika Padukone, the ensemble is finished with the designer’s signature sculptural metal-burst embroidery. Clusters of miniature watch components were intricately hand-applied across the jacket and skirt, highlighting the craftsmanship and couture detailing synonymous with Gaurav Gupta Couture.
The sharply contoured shoulders and architectural tailoring of the jacket bring sculptural precision to the look, while the clean, fluid fall of the straight skirt introduces balance and movement. Together, the elements create a powerful yet polished silhouette that reflects the house’s approach to engineered, futuristic couture.
Completing the look, Deepika Padukone wore matching stocking boots, extending the line of the body into a single, continuous form. The detail reinforces the designer’s signature language of precision-led couture and modern sculptural form.
