The lockdown has compelled most of us to change our life patterns. Be it our lifestyle, jobs or even relationships. On one hand where we are coming across instances of improved relationships among married couples due to the lockdown, on the contrary many are capitalizing on this opportunity to find new mates or love interest for themselves.

Women with jobs in the private sector are leading with 43.2% of traffic on Gleeden’s platform whereas men who own their own businesses are leading their pack with 21.2% of traffic on Gleeden. These users are mostly concentrated in metro cities like Chennai (64.8%), Pune (63.4%), Mumbai (56.3%), Bangalore (53.1%) whereas Delhi stands on a respectable (42.1%) for its user base from the corporate world.

The section of the society which is garnering the least traffic on the platform is of retired professionals and unemployed people with a minute 1.4% of the entire traffic. Women are leading on this front with more than half of the user base out of which most of them are concentrated in our capital; New Delhi.

It is has been found out that, in order to continue with their extrovert/outgoing nature, people are moving onto online dating apps to woo away the monotony and boredom in their lives especially in this time of social lockdown.
