The festival of colors is around the corner, and the Indian Embassy in Washington, DC is set to bring the vibrant spirit of Holi to the heart of the city.
On Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., Dupont Circle will transform into a hub of music, dance, and colorful festivities. The celebration kicks off in Dupont Circle Park with beats by DJ Neil, followed by captivating Indian cultural performances by Studio Dhoom and Kathak artist. At 2:00 p.m., the event moves to The Ven Hotel, where attendees can enjoy high-energy dancing and the much-anticipated color throwing—a beloved Holi tradition.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with The Ven Hotel to expand this popular festival—now in its third year,” said Patrick Kain, Chair of the Dupont Circle BID. “Dupont Circle, with its rich diversity and 40 embassies, is the perfect place to celebrate India’s cultural heritage.”

The Holi festivities won’t stop there—other corners of Washington, DC will also join in the celebration.
On March 14, Union Market will host its third annual Holi celebration in partnership with popular Indian eateries RASA and DC Dosa. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., guests can enjoy authentic Indian cuisine, live music, dancing, and, of course, the iconic color throwing. This free, public event is open on a first-come, first-served basis.
