Geisha Designs brought the grandeur of evening occasion wear to centre stage at The Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with Fashion Design Council of India

DAY ONE

GEISHA DESIGNS by Shalini Jaikaria and Paras Bairoliya

Titled “Luminescent” collection of  cocktail gowns and elegant evening wear in jewel tones of ruby, purple emerald, and midnight sky.

Detailing&Technique

Ultra-feminine dressing has a few masculine elements, which appeared in the form of vertical linear detailing.

Use of couture techniques like knotting, cording, and weaving, highlighted with artfully realised 3D florals, ruffles, tiers and bloom petals. The sheen heavy colour palette and fabric texturing evoked visions of a moon-lit night and star-spangled sky.

Showstopper

Diipa Buller Khosla,  fashion and beauty influencer, in an all-black, bodysuit under a sheer, strappy, mini with long, swinging, fringed hemline and the most amazing giant rosette on the bodice.

Paras Bairoliya and Shalini Jaikaria

“Each of these artisanal creations exuding a sense of heightened glamour makes for a chic pick this festive season.”
