‘NEXA presents The Spotlight’ is an initiative that has gained recognition for showcasing emerging and creative talents within the fashion industry. The initiative’s sixth edition has successfully brought some of the most innovative minds in fashion to the forefront, allowing them to display their work at the prestigious Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI. ‘. After a competitive selection process, the program has announced label ‘Countrymade’ by designer Sushant Abrol as the winner of its sixth season. NEXA’s “Create. Inspire” philosophy has given them an opportunity to freely express themselves and push the boundaries in fashion.

Designers from various parts of the country presented their collections along with their show concept designs to a distinguished jury of industry experts at the impressive headquarters of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) in New Delhi. The victorious designer, Sushant Abrol, will receive a grant of INR 8 lakhs from NEXA to support the set design and showcase of their work at the upcoming Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI event scheduled to take place from the 11th to the 15th of October 2023.

The esteemed jury that oversaw this captivating selection process consisted of notable individuals such as Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited; Ram Suresh Akella, Executive Director of Marketing at Maruti Suzuki India Limited; Sunil Sethi, Chairman of FDCI; Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President at Reliance Brands; Ashish Soni, Fashion Designer; Dhruv Kapoor, Fashion Designer; and Sanjana Batra, Senior Fashion Stylist. This panel of experts played a crucial role in identifying and acknowledging the talents that will shape the fashion landscape in the upcoming event.
