Monitor Oxygen Levels in Blood

Monitor Oxygen Levels in  Blood

  Huawei Watch GT2 Series

  • The Huawei Watch GT2 series now comes with new SpO2 monitoring which helps in measuring the volume of oxygen in the blood.
  •  The Watch is powered by Kirin A1, World’s first chipset exclusively launched for wearables; promises 2 week battery after one charge
  • The feature is expected in the HUAWEI Watch GT2e at launch as well

The firmware update version 1.0.6.26 has been released for Huawei Watch GT2 for installation in the watches from the series.

Once installed successfully, the update would add a feature of measuring SpO2 levels through the health app, apart from improving system stability.

SpO2 represents an estimate of the oxygen levels in a person’s bloodstream. A healthy person should have an SpO2 level between 90 and 100. Low levels of oxygen in the blood can cause hypoxemia, which can have severe impact on health. The elderly, people with certain heart and lungs related diseases and snoring issues, those having a hectic schedule, or those living at higher altitude are usual victims of low oxygen levels in the blood.

Huawei Watch GT2 users can just now install the update and keep track of the oxygen levels in blood. The feature will be inbuilt in the Huawei Watch GT2e variant.

These workers have our deepest respect, and we are humbled to be able to answer their call and provide whatever we can to help during this unprecedented time. “Colours of Life”, Artist Swati Pasari’s latest collection of paintings

“Colours of Life”, Artist Swati Pasari’s latest collection of paintings

“There are various colours depicting different moods and describing different stories.  I have always tried to spread hope and happiness through my artwork.

Amid this gloomy global scenario, my latest collection of paintings “Colours of Life” focusses on overcoming the challenges and celebrating life in its various shades and moods”, says Artist Swati Pasari. During the hard times, it is very important to stay positive and spread positivity and happiness around in whichever way it is possible. Spreading positivity through her work and helping poor through her various social initiatives, Swati has already set an example for the younger generation.

A graduate in business studies and with no formal training in Art, Swati followed her heart and started painting with an aim to spread positivity through her art. Her Art Brand, Soulink, took shape in 2007 and she never looked back.

For Swati, the act of creating a work of art is synonymous to following a particular train of thought, developing and working on them unless the thought is translated seamlessly in her creations. When she paints, it is more like letting her emotions flow without any obstruction. She can never pin point when and how the painting will end, it is just a inner joy which she feels when her inner thoughts are translated on her painting and that is when she knows, her work is done.

Her biggest influencers are subjects, rather than people. She is heavily influenced by Indian mythology and spirituality.

“They say that you have to be lost in order to be found. Every artist strives for inner peace, and art is only a method of finding inner wholesomeness”, adds Swati.

Monday at work? Safety Measures After Ease in Lockdown on April 20

Expert recommends temperature monitoring, age-based workforce to stay safe at work from April 20
Twenty-seven days into the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, the government has provided a sign of respite for the working public. Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad announced on Twitter that the government would allow limited workplaces in non-containment areas to begin essential work.

From Monday, April 20, India would allow work at banks, financial services, government offices, health facilities and specific offices and commercial institutions. Agricultural activities, horticultural, animal rearing, fishing, plantation work and specific MGNREGA projects would also take place. Limited construction activity (where no workers need to come in from outside) would occur too. Self-employed professionals (like electricians, plumbers, etc.) could move around for work, while goods cargo services would also begin movement.

In the wake of this move, indoor air quality expert Mansoor Ali has cautiously welcomed the government’s move, though he has requested for stricter norms to ensure it does not lead to a spurt in COVID-19 cases. “The lockdown has helped slow down the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, not stop it. We have to be very cautious before we open the economy”, he said.

Ali, the founder of AMFAH India, had submitted his Coronvirus reports and findings to the Maharashtra health ministry in the early days of the lockdown. These reports included guidelines to ease restrictions post-lockdown. These were two steps for workers and two for employers, which can keep everyone safe from the disease.

“Workers need to ensure two things daily to keep themselves as safe as possible from the coronavirus outbreak. I strongly recommend temperature monitoring for each individual at all workplaces. I also recommend allowing the fittest age group (18+ to 58) to be allowed outside right now.”

“Check your temperature and age before you step out of your homes. Every person should check the temperature either in their colony or at their nearest health centre. Ideally, this should be printed on a valid pass before they leave their homes. Second, workers who’re above 59 years of age should not go as they have lower immunity than others”, he added.

For employers, Ali has shared two comprehensive steps. “Employers and organisations from the informal sector to corporates, need to put policies in place to guide their employees through safety measures. Create a basic hygiene and social distance strategy, communicate it across the workplace and ensure that everyone adheres to it. They should also check and maintain indoor air quality, especially if this air is being re-circulated through their plant. With poor air quality, even a single infected person can spread the disease to the rest of your staff”.

Many international research reports have confirmed these steps and are recommending them to countries who are setting up measures again.
