The crème de la crème of Delhi was treated to an evening soiree that included all the elements of an unforgettable indulgence – Charity, Fashion, and Glamour. The event took Place at The Russian Centre of Science & Culture, New Delhi.

The evening witnessed cancer survivors and other personalities walking the ramp styled and dressed by Designers Reynu, Nikhita Taandon & Shital Bajaj celebrating the spirit and courage of cancer warriors. Some of the personalities who walked the ramp were Anca Varma, Nischint Singh, Mukta Chopra, Sonali Bhasin, Payal Jaiswal, Meenakshi Dutt, Dolly Jain, Bela Madan, Pooja Gogia, Neeli Jain, Neena Verma to name a few.

Designers Reynu & Nikhita said “Its inspiring and a privilege to dress up Cancer Survivors and we couldn’t have had a better launch for our new season couture line. We associated with Festival of Hope Foundation, as a way to give back to society and salute the spirits of cancer survivors.”

Celebrate the spirit and courage of Cancer Warriors at the “Festival of Hope” season 13 – was held On the 27th of November at the Russian Centre for Science & Culture, New Delhi, every child deserves more than just a hospital bed. Let’s do something beautiful & keep HOPE alive.

FESTIVAL OF HOPE leverages the platform of art, fashion and music to create and spread awareness to prevent and detect early stages of cancer. The Foundation is supported by eminent personalities and achievers from all walks of life, bringing together “Leaders of Hope” who actively contribute by volunteering their time, money, and skills to make a difference.

The Foundation also supports other NGOs/Social Enterprises in promoting their efforts. These include Spread A Smile Foundation, Rasoi On Wheels, Shakuntalam Foundation, Desire Home Society, Swapan Sarthak Foundation, and other individual social contributors.

A group show by the great Indian Masters and contemporary artists unveiled

To begin with the Christmas fervor, Art Spice gallery in collaboration with Art Magnum displayed some never seen works by the great Indian Masters and contemporary artists in a group show, ‘Rasas of Indian Art’, which was a visual treat for Art enthusiasts and Art connoisseurs. The works chosen were of impeccable quality tracing the journey of Indian Artists both in the pre-independence era and the post-independence era which provided a unique insight into how the Indian art scene has evolved.

The show was inaugurated by Nitin Arora, the renowned Actor, Host & Managing Director, Katalyst Entertainment. The event was attended by celebrated guests like Neelam Pratap Rudy, Artist Neeraj Gupta, Art Curator Alka Raghuvanshi, Artist Shridhar Iyer, Artist Manisha Gawade, Artist Ruchi Chaddha, Art lover and collector Rama Sodhani, Monisha Gupta, Founder Craft House, Mr.Vipul Gupta, Executive Director, The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa, Art Gallery owner, Saurabh Singhvi, Mr. Kavin Gupta, Director, The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa, amongst others.

The exhibition displayed a unique collection of works by Indian Masters and contemporary artists like S H Raza, M F Husain, Ram Kumar, F N Souza, T Vaikuntam, K G Subramanyan, Ram Kinker Baij, Jamini Roy, Suhas Roy, Arup Das, Jatin Das, Jogen Choudhury, Manu Parekh, Paresh Maity, Neeraj Goswami, Hemen Mazumdar,Satish Gujral amongst others showcasing vivid processes, techniques, thoughts and emotions

Panipat Movie Starcast Spotted in National Capital for the Movie Promotions

“Panipat-is the Director’s narrative”, share Kriti Sanon & Arjun Kapoor

Actor Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon recently promoted their film Panipat at Sheraton Hotel, New Delhi.

Panipat is an upcoming historical war film directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. Based on the Third Battle of Panipat, it stars Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Kriti Sanon. Sanjay Dutt is playing the character of Ahmad Shah Abdali,Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao Bhauand Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai, the second wife of Sadashivrao Bhau who was the commander-in-chief of the Maratha army in the third battle of Panipat. The music is given by the National Award-winning music director duo Ajay-Atul.

Present at the event, Arjun Kapoor Shared his working experience in the movie, “I feel privileged to work with a man like Sanjay Dutt. I was anxious and nervous as in my head I am a boy and he ( Sanjay) is a man but in the movie, I had to be the man too. “

Kriti shared how she learned to speak Marathi in the film, “I am playing the role of a Peshwa in the movie, so it was important for me to adapt their language correctly. Marathi is a very different language, before this, I have learned UP ( Uttar Pradesh) dialect which was much easier than Marathi. I had dialect coaches for Panipat movie so that I don’t make mistakes in dialogues,” adds Kriti Sanon.

Both Kriti and Arjun are all praises about their director Ashutosh Gowariker. According to them he is a complete History Book.

Mumbai, 28^th November 2019: The 4th International Film Festival & Awards‧Macao (referred to as “IFFAM” or the “Film Festival”) will be staged from 5th to 10th December this year. As an annual international event in Macao, the Film Festival will continue to push forward the development of Macao’s film, cultural and creative industries, enhance exchange opportunities with international movies as well as unveil a wider landscape for development of cultural and artistic platforms, tourism and other fields. Following the announcement of featuring best actress in Chinese cinema, Carina Lau, as the first Talent Ambassador of this year’s IFFAM earlier, the IFFAM Organizing Committee announced the appointment of Karan Johar (KJo), an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, costume designer, actor and television personality, as Festival Ambassador along with Kim Jun-myeon (Suho), leader of the popular Korean boy band EXO, as Talent Ambassador.

The International Film Festival & Awards‧Macao celebrates the extraordinary contributions of filmmakers to the Asian film world and pays special tribute to classic film works, while enhancing the experience Macao has to offer as an international city and showing to the world the city’s diverse new dynamic of the cultural and creative development.

In this edition of IFFAM, famous Hong Kong Director Peter Chan will be Jury President of the Competition; acclaimed best actress of Chinese films, Carina Lau, and famous Korean star Suho will be Talent Ambassadors; Wang Xiaoshuai (China), Kim Yong-Hwa (Korea) and Karan Johar (India) will be Festival Ambassadors.

In addition, the Film Festival will feature a new competition “Shorts” this year, whereas five new accolades including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress will be conferred to commend prominent filmmakers of Chinese films in “New Chinese Cinema”.

Organized by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Macau Films & Television Productions and Culture Association (MFTPA), the Film Festival is committed to become a major gathering for international filmmakers to enhance cultural exchange, while putting forward Asian film talent and film works onto the global stage

The International Film Festival & Awards • Macao (IFFAM) will take place from 5th December (Thursday) to 10th December (Tuesday). This year’s programme features 10 big sections showcasing over 50 international films, and presents three competition sections – International Competition, New Chinese Cinema and Shorts Competition.

A brand-new section titled 20th Anniversary Macao Special Presentations will unfold in the Film Festival this year to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administration Region. The IFFAM Organizing Committee will continue to push forward the development of Macao films, and cultural and creative industries, enhance exchange opportunities with international movies as well as unveil a wider landscape for development of cultural and artistic platforms, tourism and other fields through this edition of IFFAM.

The 4th International Film Festival & Awards•Macao will be screening over 50 international films. 28^th November 2019, Mumbai: On the 11^th anniversary of 26/11 attacks, veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to the martyrs and victims of 26/11, by reciting a special poem. A few lines from the poem read-

The grand finale of the event was an enthralling performance by superstar Amitabh Bachchan backed by the Shiamak Davar Dance Company. The performance by Bachchan received a standing ovation from the two thousand plus audience.

Indian Theatre Traditions book authored by Ms. Shovana Narayan launched

The book Indian Theatre Traditions, authored by Padmashri Shovana Narayan,Kathak Maestro and published by Shubhi Publication was unveiled at Lalit Hotel. This book depicts multi-dimensional theatrical traditions of India that includes drama, dance and music, folk and classical.

The book has covered areas of puppetry, martial arts and the tradition of masks. It delves into the roots of various streams of Indian culture including a deep reflection on the applicability of the ancient treatise on dramaturgy, the Natyasastra.

Inauguration of the four new fountains restored by FENDI

Four fountains, four important Roman monuments, are given back to the public after extraordinary maintenance in Rome recently.. Starting from today, the fountains of Acqua Paola at the Gianicolo, Mosè in Piazza San Bernardo, Peschiera in Piazzale degli Eroi and the new Acqua Vergine at the Pincio, in Viale Gabriele d’annunzio, can be admired again.

The Mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, and the President and CEO of the FENDI Maison, Serge Brunschwig, together with Rome’s Superintendent of Cultural Heritage, Maria Vittoria Marini Clarelli, inaugurated the conclusion of the works and the reopening to the public of the four fountains.

The works concerned the terminus of famous Roman aqueducts and were made possible by the donations of the FENDI Maison whom, after its sustain in the restoration of the Trevi Fountain and of the Complex of the Four Fountains – part of the FENDI for Fountains project – showed once more its contribution to the enhancement of the artistic heritage of the Eternal City with this new and important project.

The overall cost of the project, drafted by the competent offices of Rome’s Sovrintendenza Capitolina, was € 280.000, assumed entirely by the patron.

Following a public tender, the works were conducted by the firm Methodos by Valeria Mallia, specialized in the restoration of stone materials, and were started on May 29 with the with the Acqua Paola and Peschiera sites, followed by the Mosè and Ninfeo del Pincio ones in the subsequent months. The works were concluded in compliance with the deadline and concerned the surface of the basins and all the lower parts of the front side; all surfaces have been washed and cleaned from biological patinas and calcareous incrusting, and, in addition, damages have been strengthened and plastered where necessary. Finally, waterproofing of all basins and inspection of electrical and water systems occurred.

On this occasion, the Capitoline administration has realized, through the firm Areti, the new LED lighting system as well as the reactivation of the water system – in the process of being completed – of the Peschiera fountain, for a total cost of € 78.000.

The four fountains, which differ by type and execution period, were identified among the numerous ones in the city of Rome because they are terminus of monumental Roman aqueducts, three of which are of Imperial origin – subsequently restored by Popes in different periods –, and to celebrate and eternalise their name by linking it with the great Romanity, while the fourth, the Peschiera one, from the modern age (1949), is considered one of Europe’s greatest aqueducts.

“Rome has always had an important relationship with its fountains and aqueducts, which not only dispense water, yet evoke its preciousness as a symbol of life and rebirth. Each one of these fountains has its own story and contributes, at the same time, to telling the story of the city. The FENDI Maison, which I sincerely thank, and which has tied its name – among the others – to the Mosè, Peschiera, Ninfeo dell’Acqua Vergine and the marvellous ‘Fontanone’ of the Gianicolo fountains by financing this important extraordinary maintenance works of some of Rome’s most beautiful monuments, showing once more, on this occasion, their great love for our Capital. Finally, I would like to thank the technicians, the operators and the offices whom, with their attentive and competent work, created a healthy and positive synergy between the Public Administration and private companies that produced one of those excellent results that become, for Rome, and example of good practice”.

Rome is an integral part of the FENDI DNA and its artistic and cultural heritage is to be preserved for future generations”, states Serge Brunschwig, President and CEO of FENDI.
