Decathlon brings KIPRUN to India with ‘More Runs. More Life.’
Ask a runner why they run and the answer is rarely just about speed. It could be the satisfaction of completing a difficult training session, the calm of an early morning run, the excitement of a race, or simply the pleasure of making time for yourself. That broader experience of running was at the heart of Decathlon’s Delhi launch of KIPRUN, its specialist performance running label, built around the global tagline “More Runs. More Life.”The India launch introduces a collection of performance running shoes designed for different needs — from everyday training and long-distance running to race-day performance and trail running. The idea is to make technical performance more accessible while recognising that every runner has a different goal.
More Than a Run
The name KIPRUN has an interesting beginning. It traces back to the 2007 New York Marathon, where spectators encouraged runners with the words “Keep Running”. The expression eventually evolved into the name, reflecting the belief that in running, as in life, the journey matters as much as the destination. That thought feels particularly relevant in India, where running has grown into a lifestyle and community movement. Running clubs, organised races and informal groups have brought more people into the sport, while for many others, running has simply become a way to stay active, clear the mind and create a little space in a busy day.The launch film captures this quieter side of running — the discipline of showing up, the freedom of an open road, the confidence that develops with consistency and the sense of clarity that can come with putting one foot in front of the other.

“Running transforms far more than physical fitness, building consistency, elevating wellbeing, fostering confidence, and connecting communities,” said Bruno Araujo, Country Sports Leader – Running, Decathlon Sports India.
A Collection for Every Runner
For the India launch, the collection includes 35 running shoes, including 17 high-performance options across everyday training, long-distance running, racing and trail exploration.Technologies such as VFoam Plus, MFoam+ and carbon-plated soles offer runners different solutions depending on pace, distance, terrain, experience and personal goals.
That variety reflects the changing nature of running itself. A first-time 5K runner has very different requirements from someone preparing for a marathon, while a trail runner needs something different again. There is no single definition of a runner — and increasingly, there does not need to be.

The Bigger Running Picture
India’s running culture is becoming more visible across cities, fuelled by races, communities and people turning the sport into part of their everyday routine. For Decathlon, the launch is therefore about more than adding another range of running shoes to the market. KIPRUN describes its purpose as “democratising high-performance solutions to run for life”, with a wider ecosystem that includes products, athlete collaboration and digital tools such as the PACER app.

Launched in 2008, the brand is now present in 70 countries. In India, its arrival comes at a time when running is increasingly being viewed not simply through the lens of competition, but as something that can bring fitness, connection, confidence and a sense of wellbeing into everyday life.
More Runs. More Life.
Sometimes, the most meaningful part of a run is simply making the time to take it.
