Mumbai, December 2021
Christmas is a season known to share joy as much as possible, and it can be done even through small gestures. One such event that calls for the encouragement of the LGBT community and uplifting their small business is the Satrangi Bazar, initiated by The QKNit. Several highly skilled artists and entrepreneurs are expected to set up their respective stalls at Cafe Guftagu in Mira road. Patrons can expect to take home exquisite handicrafts and a diverse range of products along with education about their originating initiatives. The event tremendously promotes and encourages queer individuals and women artists to participate along with other community members.
This event will assemble individuals from unique places as purchasers and sellers and will bring true awareness towards the issues faced by the LGBT community. It is a strong source of bringing inequality amongst the society and treating every individual with sheer respect and love instead of humiliation and bullying, something that the LGBT community is often subjected to. This fair is hosted by The QKNit and will witness active participation from QueerKala, an initiative to empower women, in this 2-day show which will be held on 25th and 26th December from 2 pm to 10 pm. All the COVID 19 safety protocols and measures will be strictly carried out at the venue.
This Christmas season is expected to bring in non-stop fun, entertainment, and awareness during the show as many artists, individuals from the business world, and celebrities are also expected to grace this event.
