This festive season, founder of Simply Nam & Celebrity Makeup Artist – Namrata Soni introduces her first range of ultra-soft comfort wear matte lipstick marking the brands foray into color cosmetics.
Comfortable, hydrating, weightless, and a perfect everyday lip colour, the collection leaves you feeling as if you are wearing nothing.
To come up with the perfect lipstick for the Indian woman, a study was conducted in two parts – one with a focus on what the perfect lipstick looks like to different women (the features, the colours, and the preferences), and one where different formulations were tried out, to finalise on a formulation preferred by most Indian women partaking in the study. The collection has been formulated keeping in mind Indian skin tones, climate, long working hours, and a social lifestyle, combined with the detailed feedback and inputs received by everyday Indian women in the research project.
With the collection, Namrata emphasizes how women today want to feel like their best selves and this is a tribute to every woman who inspires and leads the way – leaving a mark on our lives, most subtly and humbly.
“I believe looking good starts and ends with feeling beautiful – makeup is simply a reflection of that beauty. I’m all about using the right products in the right places to highlight a person’s best features and natural beauty,” says Simply Nam’s founder and renowned makeup and beauty artist Namrata Soni. “A lipstick should be comfortable, have full coverage, and leave you feeling like you are not wearing anything on your lips. It should also not make your lips dry when reapplied and touched up throughout the day. To me, the perfect lipstick is a hydrating, matte texture – you can always touch up with gloss later, but a matte lip colour tends to last longer, and work better for someone getting ready for a long day – be it your wedding, a photo shoot, or a long day in the office or out with friends.”
The collection is available in shades of pinks, reds, and nudes designed to perfection and to find the perfect pair for one’s skin. The lipsticks have been named after women who have inspired Namrata throughout life – Mamta (Warm red), Poonam (Cool red), Shwetambari (Rani Pink), Priyanka (Peach Pink), Madhu (Caramel Brown) and Anuradha (Natural Nude).
The Simply Nam Ultra-Soft Comfort Wear Matte Lipstick is priced at INR 1,299/- and is available on www.simplynam.com and Sephora – both in stores and online.
