WEDDING STORIES

Ethnix by Raymond presented Wedding Stories

Photography-Shazid Chauhan

The collection explored the evolving language of Indian menswear through modern occasion wear, heritage craftsmanship and versatile silhouettes. Spanning kurtas, bandh galas, sherwanis and Indo-Western ensembles alongside shirts, suits and tuxedos, the collection offered a complete wardrobe for the modern groom and wedding guest. Traditional Indian references, including Warli art, Rajasthani miniature painting and Jaipuri jharokhas, found fresh expression through new prints, embroidery and textile treatments. Cotton, silk and linen blends sat alongside jacquards, brocades, velvet and jamawar, while florals, Jaipuri block prints, subtle lurex details and intricate embroidery added depth and texture. Layered forms, asymmetric cuts and the interplay of fitted structure with fluid proportions gave the collection a current sensibility, balancing ceremonial richness with everyday ease. With six content creators on the runway and a live musical performance by Twin Strings, the showcase reflected how Indian wedding dressing continues to evolve, holding on to its cultural roots while making room for personal style.

Cricketer Suryakumar Yadav closed the show in an ensemble inspired by Indian chintz florals, featuring multicoloured resham embroidery, a long jacket and matching relaxed-fit trousers.
