Sahil Baweja and Sunny Leone Redefine Delhi’s Nightlife with Potions – Cocktail Theatre
The capital’s newest address for after-dark indulgence, Potions – Cocktail Theatre in Mehrauli, transforms mixology into performance art. Overlooking the Qutub Minar, this intimate 50-seater venue offers a sensorial journey where every drink tells a story.
Launching on November 14, 2025, the concept by Singing Bowls Hospitality—founded by Sahil Baweja and Sunny Leone—blends art, emotion, and entertainment. Potions isn’t a typical bar; it’s an immersive experience where cocktails are crafted as narratives of feeling and flair.
“Potions is about giving India’s most creative mixologists a stage,” says Sahil Baweja. “Each drink reflects emotion, technique, and imagination. We’re investing in this talent through mentorship and showmanship so every bartender becomes an artist, and every cocktail, a performance.”
The beverage program, led by Kamal Kohli, opens with the theme ‘Love & Its Aftermath’, exploring the highs and heartbreaks of modern relationships. The cocktails move from playful creations like The Right Swipe and 3 AM Hey! to soulful mixes such as Judaai and Memories. Expect inventive techniques—fat-washed tequilas, Kismi chocolate–infused whiskeys, and regional Indian gins. Guests can also co-create their drinks through an interactive feature called Artificially Intelligent Love.
“We wanted to create more than a beautiful bar,” shares Sunny Leone. “Potions is about connection—between people, emotions, and experiences. Each drink evokes a feeling, a memory, or a story, and that’s what makes it theatre.”
The culinary program complements the concept with small and sharing plates that merge Indian Tandoori and European-Mediterranean influences. Led by chefs Rajdev, Kuldeep Rawat, and Arpit Verma, the menu balances classic flavors with inventive presentations. Highlights include Chili Rubbed Tofu Tikka with parsley–guava dip, Tandoori Baby Bella Mushrooms with sago poppadom, Jalapeño Salmon Tikka, Tandoori Lobster, and Bourbon Lamb Chops. Guests can also enjoy a live Rumali Roti performance at their table.
The design mirrors its dramatic spirit — a striking interplay of textures and tones. The venue moves from a white fort wall to a volcanic black stone cave, leading to a monochrome terrace wrapped in lush greenery and views of the Qutub Minar.
Now open at Ambawatta One, Mehrauli, Potions – Cocktail Theatre invites guests to step into a world where every cocktail is a story and every sip, a performance.
