Delhi, 24 December 2021: A special screening of Kabir Khan’s sports drama ’83’ based on the Indian Cricket Team’s iconic world cup win in 1983 was hosted by INOX at its Nehru Place cinema, for the friends and relatives of legendary cricketers Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Madan Lal, Kirti Azad and Sunil Valson in the presence of Mr. Ranveer Singh and Mr. Kabir Khan.
The movie is a biographical sports drama based on the life of Kapil Dev. The focus is on the historical cricket match, a final, between India and the West Indies, in which India gave a target of 183 to the opponent and won the match by 43 runs. It was the first-ever World Cup win by India. The movie is directed by Kabir Khan and is a multi-production film, with producers such as Kabir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, and Reliance Entertainment.
