Taj Palace is all set to host the second edition of 115 Years Charity Gala on Friday, August 9, 2019 in support of the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust. The event will commemorate the momentous anniversary of India’s first luxury hospitality address, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, the iconic flagship of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL).
Built in 1903, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai was a result of Jamsetji N. Tata’s dream to usher in a new era in Indian hospitality and ensure that Bombay has an icon which could place it amongst the greatest cities of the world. Following up to the glittering first edition of the Charity Ball that took place at the iconic hotel last year on its 115th anniversary, the second edition of the Charity Gala at Taj Palace, New Delhi will carry forward the spirit of philanthropy – the cornerstone of the revered 150 year TATA legacy.
Highlights of the Event
It will be, an extraordinary evening with a noble cause. A live art auction by leading visual arts gallery, DAG (formerly known as the Delhi Art Gallery) , a commemorative six-course sit-down dinner experience curated by Executive Chef Rajesh Wadhwa featuring contemporary Indian cuisine and a high-octane performance by the acclaimed Shillong Chamber Choir will make this an evening to remember.
“Art from the Heart”, a no-reserve, no buyers’ premium live auction of a selection of noteworthy art pieces will be the highlight of the soirée, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Trust. The 25 works by masters of modern Indian art presented at this auction will provide an unparalleled range and choice to connoisseurs and collectors.
