From Silver Screen to Graphic Novel: Lakadbaggha – The Prologue Comic Book Launches in Delhi with a Powerful Message
In a heartfelt return to their hometown, Delhi’s own Anshuman Jha and Ridhi Dogra unveiled Lakadbaggha: The Prologue — a compelling graphic novel that reimagines the cult action film Lakadbaggha in comic book form.
The launch event, hosted at Om Book Shop, DLF Avenue Saket, brought together fans, creators, and animal lovers in a shared celebration of storytelling with soul. The comic, co-created by actor-producer Anshuman Jha and illustrated by acclaimed American artist Brittain Peck, introduces readers to Arjun Bakshi — cinema’s first animal-loving vigilante hero.
“This is a childhood dream come true,” said Anshuman. “Growing up on Chacha Choudhary and Tintin, I longed for a homegrown hero who would protect the voiceless — and that’s exactly who Arjun Bakshi is.”
Illustrator Brittain Peck shared his passion for the project: “Arjun Bakshi is the kind of hero I wish I had growing up — grounded, fierce, and full of compassion.”

The evening was further elevated by the presence of Arjuna Awardee and motorsport champion Gaurav Gill, and cynophile Manavi Rai, who spoke passionately about animal rights — echoing the comic’s central theme of empathy-driven heroism.
Published by Om Books International, Lakadbaggha: The Prologue is now available at major bookstores and online platforms. With the sequel to the original film set to release later this year, this comic marks the beginning of a larger universe that blends action, heart, and the power of purpose.
