Aavartan: The only film selected from North India to be screened at Bangalore International Film Festival 2022

Directed by National Awardee, Durba Sahay, AAVARTAN has become the only film selected from North India to be screened for the 13th edition of The Bengaluru International Film Festival 2022 under Indian Cinema Competition (Chitrabharathi) 2020.

Well-known for her writing and directing numerous short-length films, full of fresh fragrance and innovative ideas, Durba Sahay produced and directed her first feature filmtitled Aavartan. The film portrays the onset of the journey of a teacher and her apostle. The film targets younger audiences who are forgetting their roots. The movie stars veteran actors; Sushma Seth, Padmashri Shovana Narayan, Sunit Razdan, Mrinalini, and Gurjeet Singh Channi in pivotal roles.

Well, the Bengaluru International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The platform previews films of all genres including documentaries from around the world. Currently, Karnataka Chalamachitra Academy and the Government of Karnataka, organize the film festival. This year the 13th edition of the prestigious event will take place from 3rd March till 10th March.
