Affordable art at Art Vindow, a physical and digital gallery in Kamala Mills

“I feel honoured to curate the exhibition of one of my most favourite artists, Milind Mulick. Over the years, visiting his studio, painting with him and watching him paint expressionist landscapes was like being purely overjoyed by the magic of abstract unfolding to you! We all have loved his beautiful landscapes over the years, but in this exhibition – Linear Unparalleled Experience he subtly sweeps us into his world with the stylized non objective paintings and takes us through his cognitive processes of art that delete particular demarcations between abstract and realistic.”

The curator and founder of the gallery, Vinita Mansingka, a watercolour enthusiast, loved art growing up but whilestudying Management at NYU, she came across young Americans visiting art galleries and collecting art pieces from their favourite artists. This culture was something she definitely wanted to bring back home. That’s when she decided to launch Art Vindow at Kamala Mills  and put the works of young and vibrant artists under the spotlight.

Liner Unparalleled Experience

Art Vindow launches with a solo exhibition: Liner Unparalleled Experience,  featuring the veteran artist Milind Mulick. The online exhibition commences on the 11th of October until 21st  November 2021 on the Art Vindow website and the gallery. Art Vindow is an exciting new platform where they personally guide a customer towards artwork that best resonates with their ideas. Focussing on a customer’s vision, preference, requirement, budget etc. Every piece of art sold by Art Vindow comes along with a certificate of authenticity. The artworks range from Rs.7500 going up to Rs.5,00,000.

The digital and the physical exhibition is a mesmerizing oeuvre, a testimony to release the ‘mess that white canvas beholds’ as affirmed by the artist Milind Mullick. Milind holds four-decade-long experiences, revelations, and aesthetic knowledge, through spontaneous yet systematic and charged brushstrokes that unveil a collage of many everyday images.  The exhibition marks, decodes, and portrays life not as it is but as it could be seen through the eyes of the artist. He says, “These are collages of a lot of images. Whether I am walking or driving on a street, I see a lot of things like people, objects, places, etc. And there are exciting, disturbing and beautiful events and stuff that we observe on a daily basis. These all come together as visual pollution to us. And, I try to find a visual pattern in these. Also, I attempt to create a collage of these visual experiences, which become a cityscape. For me, these are like abstract collages.”

You can view the exhibition online at ART VINDOW. One can also view the works in person by appointment at their office in Kamala Mills. The online exhibition commences on 11th October until 21st November 2021.
