Convergence of fashion, art, and social impact in this remarkable celebration.
Tamana, the NGO dedicated to the cause of disability, celebrated its 40th year with such a meaningful and inclusive fashion show titled “Celebrations.” That showcased the immeasurable courage of the differently-abled through a ramp walk supported by The FDCI CSF Trust.
The event was held at Hyatt Regency, Delhi which has been the hospitality partner of the show for over the last decade, Hyatt Regency also celebrated its 40th anniversary in the same year, making it a doubly special occasion.
The show featured 80 multiply-disabled and autistic individuals who confidently walked the ramp, sending a powerful message of inclusion. Renowned designers such as J J Valaya, Suneet Varma, Payal Jain, Anju Modi, Namrata Joshipura, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Amit Aggarwal, and Ashish Soni showcased their collections, adding a touch of elegance and creativity to the event.

According to the President of Tamana Dr. Shayama Chona Padma Bhushan & Padma Shri awardee, “For the last 40 years, Tamana has been upholding for this cause and today the three centers, providing world-class services.”

The chief guest, Dr. Justice DY Chandrachud, Chief Justice of India pledged his support to the cause, which was also promoted by Mr. Sunil Sethi, Chairman Fashion Design Council of India and the FDCI CSF Trust. Leading names from the design world.
Tamana Chona, the National Awardee and the inspiration behind the Tamana NGO, exhibited her artwork and merchandise exclusively adapted from abstract art at the event, She is a symbol of hope and crusader for the differently abled, proving that given the right care and interventions anyone can realise their full potential.

The Fashion Design Council of India has fostered an endearing relationship for many years now with Mrs. Chona and daughter, Tamana. Fashion brought happiness to life in hues of ruby red, as five garments each by the designers narrated a tale of the fire within, to surmount myriad odds and emerge victorious.
Overall, this event not only celebrated the accomplishments of Tamana and its commitment to the cause but also highlighted the significant progress made over the years in promoting inclusion and supporting the differently-abled. It’s heartening to see the convergence of fashion, art, and social impact in this remarkable celebration.
