Cleaning & Sanitizing Jewellery

DOs & DON’Ts

By Jewellery Designer Archana Aggarwal

Metals carry virus for a long time so it is imperative that we take care of our jewellery in the right manner. I endorse both traditional and conventional was of cleaning and sanitizing Jewellery.

One should try to avoid the alcohol-based sanitizers for Cleaning and Sanitizing Jewellery as they can damage the surface. The best practice is to remove them, wash them separately with soap and lukewarm water. Don’t forget to wash your hands following the 20-second rule and let the pieces dry.

One can also try the UV sanitizer cases, which are a great non-contact way to disinfect larger accessories or fragile pieces you don’t want to be wiping or scrubbing.
