Score a Century, Plant a Tree: IPL Playoffs Go Green with Retropop Lifestyle & Grow-Trees.com
Now, for every century scored in the IPL playoffs, a tree will be planted
Retropop Lifestyle is partnering with the social enterprise Grow-Trees.com for a nature-friendly celebration during the cricket fiesta
As the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) reaches its halfway mark, teams like Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians are locked in a tight contest for a place in the top four. While it remains to be seen who will advance to the final stages or ultimately lift the trophy, nature already has something to celebrate.
With the playoffs approaching, Retropop Lifestyle and Grow-Trees.com have come together for a unique initiative that ties cricket with a cause. Starting May 20, a tree will be planted for every century scored during the playoff matches.
Seema Dhawan,Managing Editor from Retropop Lifestyle says, “Blending cricket with a cause helps build a culture where fans can connect with nature while supporting the teams they love. It’s a simple but powerful way to make a difference.”
Even if no centuries are scored during the playoffs, a minimum of 10 trees will still be planted as part of this collaboration.
Pradip Shah, co-founder of Grow-Trees.com, adds, “The IPL unleashes unparalleled excitement in every cricket-loving home. By championing the environment on such a huge platform, we can catalyse collective and individual action. We, too, will plant a tree in the name of every centurion.”

Cricket lovers can also be part of the initiative by visiting www.grow-trees.com to Greet with Trees, where each individual receives an e-tree certificate as a token of appreciation.
