Cyberbullying Awareness Event

‘Wht Now’ along with ambassador Taha Shah Badussha and youth of Pillai Group of Institutions Partners with ONGC for Groundbreaking Cyberbullying Awareness Event in collaboration with the youth of Pillai Group of Institutions

In a significant step toward combating the growing issue of cyberbullying, the youth-driven initiative ‘Wht Now’ has joined forces with ONGC hosted an impactful event aimed at raising awareness and fostering a safer digital environment for corporates and young people. This event at NBP Green Heights, ONGC, Mumbai, underscores the importance of corporate engagement in addressing cyberbullying and promoting responsible online behavior. 250+ employees working at ONGC were a part of this key event.

The ‘Wht Now’ campaign, founded by passionate socialist & entrepreneur Ms. Neeti Goel and Eminent Educationist, Philanthropist and Heartfulness Wellness and Meditation Expert Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, are dedicated to empowering their peers to stand against cyberbullying through education, support and community-building. The event featured keynote speakers from both ‘Wht Now’ and ONGC, including the esteemed Shri Ranjan Prakash Thakur, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of ONGC, addressing the audience online and spoke about the importance of vigilance in our lives. Ms.Tejasvini Satpute IPS, DCP Zone 5 also joined the event as a key speaker addressing the crowd about the growing cyber concerns. She also gave hints and strategies about how to combat these invisible enemies. The brand ambassador of “Wht Now” Taha Shah Badussha made a special guest appearance, gracing the event with his presence and he also interacted with the crowd.  Famous rapper Prithv Mohan presented a theme song on Wht Now and impressed the audience with his excellent rapping skills. The speakers shared their insights on the challenges posed by cyberbullying and discussed practical strategies for creating a safer and more supportive online space.

In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), the inaugural event of three-month campaign of Vigilance ONGC Mumbai, aims to galvanize attendees into action. This event is a call to action, encouraging attendees to unite and take a stand against the pervasive issue of online harassment. The top level senior executives and officers from ONGC attended the event with full support and pledged to support this social initiative of “Wht Now” and appreciated the skit performed by the students of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research with a huge round of applause. The team of “Wht Now” consists of cyber security experts, mental health professionals, young activists and expert advocates who have experience to help the victims to come out of this trap.

The program was hosted by ONGC Vigilance, Mumbai in collaboration with key partners, including the Government of Maharashtra, Cyber Crime Cell Mumbai, Maharashtra Police and the Pillai Group of Institutions. These esteemed organizations came together to support the ‘Wht Now’ campaign, demonstrating a unified commitment to addressing the pressing issue of cyberbullying and ensuring the safety of the citizens in the digital age. Their collective efforts played a crucial role in the success of the event, providing valuable insights, resources and support to the participants.

Highlights of the event included interactive workshops, panel discussions, and live performances that aim to engage and inspire the audience about this sensitive issue. The program was coordinated by Dr. Nivedita Shreyans Director PR, Pillai Group along with team members and students.
