Hotel Café Royal in London

Launches new Restaurant Barbounia

The restaurant brings authentic Italian and Mediterranean-inspired dining to London’s Regent Street. Situated in the heart of the luxury hotel, the space overlooks the stunning 700-pound Murano glass chandelier and reception designed by Piero Lissoni.

Chef Alessandro Verdenelli crafts a menu blending traditional and modern cooking techniques with the finest ingredients.

Barbounia, translating to red mullet in Greek, offers an all-day dining experience featuring classic Mediterranean flavours, from fresh seafood to handmade pasta. The menu caters to all occasions, offering small plates, sharing platters, mains, salads, sides, and desserts.

Highlights include the Raw Counter with the Royal Platter, red tuna tartare, and main dishes like Lobster Tortelli and Red Mullet with lemon and Provençal sauce. Don’t miss the unique ‘Aperitivo Hour’ with the ‘House Selection’ – a sharing platter with oysters, red prawns, langoustines, olives, Parmigiano, and truffle arancini, served with a glass of sparkling wine or wine for £40 per person from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
