Kohler associates with Tarun Tahiliani

The dynamic showcase will bring forth a celebration of color, craftmanship, and artistic expression.

In its first-ever association with Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, Kohler India is all set to inspire this season’s runway trends by joining forces with design maestro Tarun Tahiliani for a presentation on 11th October at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

The showcase will comprise the artistry behind Kohler’s signature design aesthetics with the genius of Tarun Tahiliani’s silhouettes. Audiences can expect an ode to innovation, a symphony that will beautifully merge two distinct worlds, honouring and elevating the unique qualities of each.

With the theme of “A Celebration of Self-Expression,” the collection will mark a remarkable moment in the fashion world, merging new age forms with classic artisanal crafts. Meticulously crafted in an array of art styles like Art Deco, Gara, Byzantine and more for cocktail nights, galas, and red-carpet soirées, Tarun Tahiliani will essay a renewed narrative for self-discovery from dusk to dawn. This latest offering by his studio will add glamour through metallic fabrics, texture through innovative sequins and dimension through rich hues like iridescent rose golds, faded metallics to peacock teals, royal indigo, matte greys and blacks drawing inspiration from Kohler’s rich tapestry of vibrant colours and exquisite finishes.

The collection also takes inspiration from the patterns and intricate line works of Kohler’s Artist Editions Aranya, Hindi for the forest, a creation by Pushpa Kumari on Madhubani art form celebrating the beauty and simplicity of the natural world. Amongst the various intricate prints, the collection will explore the exquisite motifs inspired by Madhubani style flora, bold and abstract geometric prints of art deco styles will result in visually striking pieces that bridge the gap between tradition and modernity. Embroidery techniques like Gara take inspiration from nature, mythology, and Persian designs. These motifs will be meticulously hand-painted and embroidered onto luxurious fabrics while the sequin collection will inextricably interweave refinement and attention to detail to create an ethereal and glamorous tribute to the illusive beauty of the feminine form. Kohler India and Tarun Tahiliani showcase promises to be a refreshing revelation at Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI with a fusion where Kohler’s signature design aesthetics are seamlessly woven into the fabric of Tarun Tahiliani’s creative genius.

The association with Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI will mark a new chapter for Kohler on its 150th anniversary and is a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to aesthetic excellence.
