IIFA 2027 heads back to Abu Dhabi, and the line-up is out
The 27th IIFA Weekend & Awards will take over the Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on 22 and 23 January 2027, and the organisers have finally revealed who’ll be on stage. Tickets are open as of today, to anyone, anywhere.
Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan are hosting the main IIFA Awards, which should make for an unpredictable evening given how those two feed off each other. The performances are where things get big: Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are all confirmed to perform. Over on the IIFA Digital Awards, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal take the hosting duties, a pairing that promises a very different, drier kind of humour.
Behind the scenes, the partnerships that hold IIFA together are carrying on. Sobha Realty stays on as presenting sponsor for both the Weekend and the Digital Awards, which makes 2027 the fourth year of that association. ZEE remains the broadcasting partner, so the show reaches Indian cinema fans wherever they happen to be. The new development this year is YouTube: for the first time, IIFA will be livestreamed globally on the platform, meaning you no longer need to be in the arena, or even in front of a television, to watch it live.
