Satish Sharma shared about his new Invention and fusion”Since childhood when I learnt guitar, I had a wish that I will play indian ragas on guitar. But few years back when I was doing one of the songs I again tried playing classical music with Guitar, it was then I was sure that I will take it forward. The star studded event hosted by eminent television host and comedian Vikalp Mehta saw 25 finalists put their best foot forward with the aim of achieving the crowning glory. The judging panel consisted of celebrated personalities including renowned fashion designer Ashley Rebello and actress Yuvika Chaudhary.The contestants were evaluated on the basis of their performance in a series of rounds including talent, ramp walk and Q&A.
After an enthralling evening, the search for Miss Diadem India concluded with the crowning of Poonam Maharana. First and second runner up titles were awarded to Punita Bhardwaj and Saylee Sawant respectively.
Mrs. India Legacy title was bagged by Alisha Ohri. First and second runner up were Dr. Meena Verma and Dr Sonal Mahalwar respectively. The winners will now get the opportunity to represent India on major international platforms.

After successfully onboarding leading designers Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna’s AK OK and Raghavendra Rathore who dropped their first NFTs on WazirX Marketplace, FDCI and Lakmé Fashion Week have partnered with Creative Dignity- a volunteer led movement working on the relief, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation within the craft sector, to now get artisans practising age-old heritage arts and crafts to be a part of this exciting new medium and create NFTs.
Through the support of EkiBeki, a volunteer organization working with Creative Dignity and a social enterprise that works towards craft revival, a group of professional Indian painters came forward to support traditional artisans by creating a single piece together. In the project ‘Hand in Hand’, both artists together created a piece by understanding the traditional artisan’s style and then narrating a new story. The artworks created by the painters/artists and traditional/folk artists are being converted into NFTs for this collaboration.
To launch the initiative a panel discussion was held earlier this week with esteemed members from across the industry. The panelists included Jaya Jaitly – Founder and President of the Dastkari Haat Samiti; Ayush Kasliwal – Founding member Creative Dignity & one of India’s leading design thinkers, practitioners and advocates for artisans; Vishakha Singh – Co-Founder & VP – WazirX NFT Marketplace; Farhat Datta – Fine art artist, Graphic designer, Environmentalist; Choti Tekam – Gond artist from Mandala district in Madhya Pradesh. The session was moderated by Darshana Gajare, Lead – Sustainability RISE Worldwide / Lakmé Fashion Week.

Jugalbandi: “Working on a project like this was a first for me. The idea of collaborating with an Indian traditional artist, to create a single cohesive piece, is a very progressive and unique endeavour. Vishpala showed us a number of works of traditional artists. Among them, I was most drawn to the Gond art pieces and specifically to Choti’s work. I chose this particular piece, in which the serpent, the peacock and the tree are all embodied in a single entity.I felt drawn to the powerful depiction of the forms and the sense of synergy between them, that is so beautifully illustrated in the fluid lines of the piece.The challenge was how to come up with a contemporary piece that would do justice to this age-old, glorious art form, without overpowering it, and instead, complementing it in a way that would enhance its character. My concept was to crystallize the main elements of Choti’s piece and to present them in a modern and contemporary light with influences of my own style of work, so that both the pieces would reflect off of each other to create a ‘Jugal Bandi’
The eye of the peacock took center stage, to denote the animal spirit. The criss-crossing of the bark in Choti’s piece was another vital element which I included to form a strong focal point in my layout and the all the various textures in the body of the peacock and bark were strategically placed in vertical and horizontal planes to bring forth a contemporary feel to the piece.I immensely enjoyed the whole process and I am humbled to have my art featured alongside this rich and ancient art form of India, which is more than 1400 years old but is still so relevant today. What are the signs of early aging and how to prevent it?
Early signs of aging can be identified by the way a person’s facial structure has changed. This includes wrinkles, sagging skin, and even gray hairs which all happen at different rates for people depending on what genes they inherit from their parents as well other factors such as stress levels in life or lack thereof due to exercise habits like yoga or meditation techniques.
Sun spots-
Sunspots are a result of years spent in direct sunlight. The hyper-pigmentation causes these bright patches to form on your skin, which can be found most often around the face and back hands or feet during middle-aged adulthood for people who have darker pigmentations like Foundation types 1 & 2.
Gaunt hands–
When you are older, your hands may start to appear veinier and thinner. This is because the topmost layers of skin become gradually less thick with structural proteins such as collagen that help give it shape.
Hyperpigmentation to form on the chest-
Inflammation can cause hyperpigmentation to form on the chest, especially around large scars. Inflammatory cells are responsible for inflammation and they produce increased amounts of melanin in response; this pigment accumulation may be what causes your skin tone or marks along with other symptoms like redness (related), hot flashes/physical stress, and itching.
What are the causes of premature greying?
There are many causes of prematurely gray hair, from heredity to environmental factors.
1. Hereditary-
Hereditary is one of the major and most common factors responsible for premature gray hair in men, women, boys (and girls), with history there’s an increased chance that you’ll follow suit. The greying gene grows from birth onward; when it finally shows itself to be true – no remedy can change what has already happened!
2. Low or No Melanin Production–
The cells in the hair follicles called melanocytes produce two pigments: pheomelanin and eumelanin. These pigment molecules join together to give humans natural hair color, but with time these are gradually reduced by production from Melanosomes on a cell’s surface- which means that as one lives their appearance can change to gray or white depending on if there’s more of it than another type.
3. Stress–
Stress is something that can affect anyone at any time. The kind of stress you are going through will determine how your body feels and looks, as well as what kind of moods or behaviours arise in yourself when under this type of discomfort- whether it’s emotional, physical or both!
4. Lack of Nutrition and Vitamin Deficiency–
Vitamin B-12 is a necessary and essential vitamin that promotes nervous system health, brain function, as well heart muscle development. It also helps create red blood cells! This means we need it because our bodies are made up mostly of water (about 90 percent), proteins like those found in fish or meat along minerals such as potassium which regulates blood pressure.
Measures to prevent it from happening?
Curry leaves and coconut oil- Do you know all those wonderful benefits of coconut oil? Well, now add curry leaves. The result: a highly beneficial concoction that will help with hair growth and nourishment! Massage your scalp when you’re done applying this moisturizing treatment for the even more good stuff to happen deep in the roots (and possibly increase complexion too).
Ribbed gourd and olive oil- The Ribbed Gourd is used to arrest premature greying. Dice the gourds into small pieces and dry them out before soaking in olive oil for three or four days, then boil it till they turn dark black (or sacrifice an animal). Next, use this mixture as a scalp massage at least twice per week.
Onion and lemon juice hair pack- Onion is one of the oldest remedies to prevent premature greying, and it can now be used as an ingredient in your hair care routine. onions not only keep grey hairs at bay but also add a specular shine with their Vitamin C.

Frequently asked questions answered by the pioneer of the Ayurvedic beauty movement
During my exams, I did not get enough sleep. Can it cause dark circles? I apply almond oil at night and go to sleep.
Lack of sleep and stress can lead to dark circles. Almond oil or cream should not be left on around your eyes during the night while you sleep. It can lead to puffiness around the eyes. Apply the oil daily with a light massage, using only the ring finger. The massage should be in one direction only and for one minute under each eye. Wipe off the cream gently with moist cotton wool after 15 minutes. Cucumber juice may also be applied and then washed off with plain water after 15 minutes.
I have curly hair with lice. Please tell me some remedies.
Apply vinegar on the hair and scalp. After an hour, comb with a fine lice comb and get the nits (eggs) taken out by hand. Vinegar loosens the nits and they are easier to remove. Then wash the hair with a mild herbal shampoo. After shampoo, add two tablespoons of vinegar to a mug of water and use as a last rinse. Then comb again with the lice comb. Do this daily for one week. Mix coconut oil with methi seed powder and apply it on your hair once a week. Wash off after 30 minutes.
After shampoo, can I use conditioner and hair serum together? How should I apply?
If it is a leave-on conditioner, you should not apply both conditioner and hair serum together. However, if you are using a rinse-off type of conditioner, apply very little after shampoo and massage lightly into the hair. Leave on for two minutes and rinse off with water. If your hair is very dry, frizzy or unmanageable, you can then apply a little hair serum or leave-on conditioner the same way and leave it on.
I have an oval face and a sharp nose. What kind of hairstyle will suit me?
Avoid very short hair cuts, as it would draw more attention to the nose. Go for shoulder length hair with soft waves and layers. The layers should begin just under ear level. You can also have a light fringe, swept to one side. Actually, side fringes are very much in fashion right now. Apart from hairstyle, you can do up the eyes more heavily and avoid very pale lipsticks. This would give better balance to the face.

DAZE, i.e Decentralized Art Zone, is hosting its 1st NFT art exhibition to showcase prominent & curated Indian NFT talent to traditional artists & the world at large. The exhibition will also host several workshops & panels. These activities will touch upon various aspects of NFTs & navigation of the web 3.0 rabbit hole throughout the 2 days of the exhibit. The exhibit will also be streamed online & in a metaverse gallery for those wanting to visit virtually. The core production team behind DAZE is CIC’s own Jatin Pathi, Vishesh Chopra & Priyanka Balwa a.k.a Cyber Shakti.

Speaking on the occasion, Jatin Pathi, co-founder CIC, Meebits DAO & Producer of DAZE said, “In the last couple of years, the demand for NFTs has grown significantly and many artists across the world are utilizing the power of technology to showcase their passion. The exhibition is the first to present the concept of NFTs as both an emerging artistic medium as well as a revolutionary vehicle for commerce within the art and digital asset market.
Vishesh Chopra, co-producer, designer & entrepreneur added “There’s a lot of misinformation with regards to cryptocurrencies and their use cases, even now after all these years. I’ve been trying to change that by organizing meetups and working with the Indian crypto community on various fronts since 2016. I believe crypto art is a historic movement worth documenting and celebrating, and organizing DAZE is a step in that direction”.
