This learning and networking forum, for both male and female talent, will focus on an in-depth understanding of how gender diversity has a positive impact on performance, and how achieving a better gender-balanced workforce is vital for all businesses. It will feature insightful keynotes, stimulating conversations, success stories and inspiring journeys of Indian and international professionals coupled with panel discussions to help individuals elevate their career development. Agenda highlights

Recently, Acharya Manish Ji organized free training program in Shah Auditorium, Delhi. In the Training Program, he spoke to BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) Doctors about how to cure various diseases . He taught how intake of ayurvedic medicines instead of allopathic can make us disease-free and everyone can live a healthy life.

In the camp, he also provided the free health check-up for all the attendees and spoke that strong will power can make you free from diseases like Sugar, BP( Blood Pressure), Heart problems and cholesterol. He also shared that if anyone wants to get rid of any of these diseases they can go to his clinic which is situated all over the country in 95 places.

ETIHAD AIRWAYS CELEBRATES BEING FASHION’S AIRLINE OF CHOICE IN MUMBAI

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is celebrating its sixth association with Lakmé Fashion Week as part of an on-going partnership as the preferred airline for the global fashion industry.
The airline hosted an exclusive cocktail reception at Luna in the St.Regis Mumbai, together with media partner Vogue India. Prominent corporate partners and personalities from the travel trade, as well as leading names from the fashion industry, including Gaurav Gupta, Dhruv Kapoor, Elena Fernandes, Surily Goel, Malini Agarwal and Priya Tanna, Editor, Vogue India, also attended the function.
 
The evening, hosted by model and actress, Sarah Jane Dias, witnessed the amalgamation of fashion and travel as guests raised a toast to ‘Fashion’s Airline’, Etihad Airways.
 
The cocktail party started with a series of performances by some of India’s top instrumental artists such as violinist Sandeep Thakur, saxophonist Ryan Sadri, and vocalist Vasundhara Vee. Guests were invited throughout the evening to pin their dream destinations on a life-size world map hand-painted by Diaa Allam, and had their names written by the Arabic calligrapher. Finally, Etihad Airways presented two lucky guests with two Business class tickets each to their dream destination on the airline’s global network.

 Nachiket Barve’s “Passport Princesses” was a  mix of coordinated separates,designed for events on the international calendar, inspired by the colourful elements of the Caprese brand,

Inspiration

 Looking at the lush bamboo groves of the Jardin Majorelle of Marrakesh where the wearer can channel her inner Talitha Getty; the looks were inspired by the languid Moroccan flavours with the sprig of leaves motifs embellished in gold silver and white on the luxurious evening wear.

Fabric Story

  Revolved around georgette, velvet, silk and tulle.

Shade Card

 Hot red and black as the prominent hues while white, maroon and blue appeared to create a colourful balance.

Design Elements

Fringes as the favoured detailing; appeared in white, silver or gold to highlight the very feminine silhouettes that the jet setting lady will love. The amazing patterns were achieved with hand punched wool felt appliqué.

Showstopper

Bollywood star Rakul Preet Singh wears a glittering, black, jumpsuit under a long net robe with fringed long sleeves.

“Festive Dreams” by ‘Kaveri’  

For an innovative start, the designer herself recited a poem on what women want with the underlying mantra of being beautiful in your own skin.

With a tag line “Everyday Beautiful” the brand presented 8 exquisite looks, each telling a great fashion story.  “Festive Dreams” by ‘Kaveri’ was in  linen, ( the brand gets specially woven), there was just a minute hint of Chantilly lace, organza and linen knits.

Dandelion Dreams had a burst of floral embroidery with pearls on pretty, exquisite Chantilly lace in shades of white, blue and grey at times with gold prints.

The Vintage Garden offered laser cut leaves that added textures to the garments with classic sleeves, smocking and lace detailing in dusty rose, sky, ecru and off-white.

A Million Stitches – A Galaxy of Stars revealed a sprinkling of roses on perky peasant styles in shades of mulberry, wine and rose.

The Victoria line featured tiny buttons, high collars and feminine petticoats with oyster and light Chateau rose tones.

A Hint. A Shade. A Tone. A Tint had flirty organza and sheer linen as the base for the tonal 3D floral appliqués on jackets, layered dresses and even saris.

The Golden Dot was all about capes, drapes, kaftans, tunics, and dresses accessorised with scarves that were ombré dyed perfectly in burgundy, iron and steel with hints of gold for the festive look.

Kintsukuroi inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken patterns, had kimono like creations with large gold splashes, hand dip dyed in earthen shades.

One By One featured screen-printed linen on hand constructed knit garments. The rough and the smooth of the layered creations had a gentle golden sheen.

This show was dedicated to stylish New Age grooms.The ramp was decorated with black stylised cacti plants and rocks that ended in an imposing tree on the stage. The duo of live drum machine Rohan Mazumdar and Randolph Correia, guitarist kept the tempo of the beat as fast as possible, as the spirited models marched down the runway.

  Highlight

‘boAt X Kunal Rawal’ collection – a limited edition of headphones & earphones at the Lakmé Fashion Week. Breaking the norm, the models were seen sporting boAt accessories like headphones and Bluetooth speakers along with designer Kunal Rawal’s latest collection.

 Kunal Rawal’s versatile special edition line called “Confluence” presented by boAt, unveiled fashion for men who are looking for adventure in their wardrobes.

Design Elements

Sharply cut bespoke street wear appeared with Kunal’s distinct unique motifs.

Deconstruction was taken a notch higher in style; with design techniques that lifted the kurta to wedding wear level.

 Indian handlooms being the crux of the collection for kurta over-shifts. Craft touches were added with embroidery comprising prints and patterns.

 Addition of the rodeo grunge effects in the distressed looks and layered cuts.

Silhouettes were lean and fitted with the trousers being extra tight.

 Sherwanis, bundgalas and jackets had  shimmer or  ornate tonal embroidery.

 Shade Card

The colour card was masculine with ecru, brown, white, rust, steel/light grey, black and khaki with a solitary pale pink for a waist coat.

Showstopper

 Arjun Kapoor wears a khaki, buttoned, textured, bundgala-cum-waist coat creation worn with dark brown trousers that had the audience applauding.
