The announcement of World’s biggest Ramleela was made at the Constitution Club, New Delhi recently. The commencement of Ramleela will be on 28th September 2019 at  Lal Quila Maidan, New Delhi. Present in the event was actor Vindu Dara Singh, actress Amita Nanga, and Actor-Singer Shankar Sahni along with President of LuvKush Ramleela, Ashok Agarwal and secretary Arjun Kumar.

  Lakmé Fashion Week, India’s fashion platform announces the 28th batch of Gen Next designers. The six selected designers will be presenting their creations at the upcoming Winter/Festive ’19 edition.

The program received over 400 applications from across the country.  Of these, six talented designers were handpicked by the prestigious LFW Advisory Board. The decision makers were the crème de la crème of the Indian Fashion Industry.

The Gen Next Designer Programme at Lakmé Fashion Week, which is known for having introduced some of the industry’s most renowned designers like Rahul Mishra, Nachiket Barve, Masaba Gupta, Kallol Dutta and Aneeth Arora, among others, is now set to groom their newest batch of designers.

Announcing this batch of Gen Next designers, Ashwath Swaminathan, Head of Innovations, Lakmé said “Gen next is a platform which supports fresh talent and their innovative approach towards fashion. This season is more special as we have received a large number of entries not just from Mumbai and New Delhi but also from other parts of the country. A design graduate from NIFT, Kolkata, Gaurav has worked as an assistant designer with Gaurav Gupta, Ekru by Ekta and Ruchira and Mandira Wirk. He has been a senior designer at SOLTEE by Sulakshana Monga. He also teaches at Pearl Academy.
His collection is inspired by the shape, texture and feel of a banana leaf. The range follows creative direction in the form of dynamic curves in the form of soft, bold, flowy silhouettes and intricate drape detailing.
He has used handwoven khadi and techniques of draping, layering and boning across the collection.

Stanzin is a graduate in design from NIFT, New Delhi. He has an experience of working with Rara Avis by Sonal Verma, Looms of Ladakh and Supreme Overseas.
His collection emphasizes on the design process that focuses on weaves, work of artisans and unexplored techniques of Ladakh. The range is based on a new perspective with a blend of traditional and modern aesthetics.
Fabrics like Pashmina, Ladakhi wool, brocade and cotton are used with techniques like weaving, embroidery, tie resisting dyeing, gathers and graphic print.
