Design duo Pankaj & Nidhi presented “Araquis” at Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI — a collection that reimagines eveningwear through armor-inspired silhouettes, sculpted strength, and fluid grace.

Mrunal Thakur closed the show in a golden bodice layered with metallic textures, paired with a sleek black skirt and high slit — a perfect balance of power and poise. The palette evoked sun-baked deserts: earthen browns, burnished gold, smoked copper, and flashes of silver and blue. Flowing gowns alternated with structured jackets, fluid drapes with strong geometry, creating movement and might.

True to the house’s ethos, metallic embellishments glinted like sunlight on steel, while precise tailoring gave form to soft fabrics. Each seam spoke of discipline and craftsmanship.

“Araquis was born from resilience, of beauty that protects,” said Pankaj & Nidhi. “The silhouettes are structured like armor, but within them lies fluidity and handwork.”

The collection reaffirmed their mastery of storytelling through surface and structure, blending timeless craftsmanship with futuristic imagination.
