Architectural Couture in Silk

Samant Chauhan presented “First Breath” at Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI — a collection defined by architectural tailoring and a precise interplay of light and shadow. Working with his signature Bhagalpur silk, the designer elevated indigenous textiles through refined structure and controlled surface treatment.

Elongated silhouettes, selectively cinched, created clean vertical lines. Swarovski crystal accents introduced a subtle, calibrated shimmer, complementing the collection’s disciplined construction. Embroidery remained delicate and understated, reinforcing purity of form.

The palette and detailing served a singular objective — to highlight craftsmanship and structure without excess. The visual language remained consistent throughout: sculpted shapes, quiet opulence, and considered proportions.

With “First Breath,” Samant Chauhan advanced his couture vocabulary — rooted in textile heritage yet executed with modern precision.
