THE RARE FACE SCULPTURE TECHNIQUES

Face- sculpting is about how you make your face beautiful without make-up. It is one of the techniques of the beauty industry which is rarely found in our country. Therefore, Aashmeen Munjaal, Director of Star Salon &Academy had a special 2020 master class with her students at the historical heritage venue, Agrasen Ki Baoli.

Teaching how to explore the invisible beauty on the face in the invisible beauty of Nation’ Capital Delhi, she revealed few tricks to highlight the unseen features of our faces. As per her, In our country face sculpting is very rare; people think make-up is all about putting colours and powder on the face. But face sculpting is the technique where without make-up how you can make your face beautiful. Our face has invisible wonderful features, including pout areas, hollow areas in which we can accentuate and create a beautiful sculpture on our face. I am taking the first-ever class on this rare topic in the backdrop of heritage properties and the building of India. Where we are firstly targeting Delhi, basically the invisible city which means there are several areas in Delhi which are hidden, nobody knows about it and nobody even cares to look at the beauty of it. Therefore, I am also trying to showcase the hidden heritage beauty of our nation.”

Further Aashmeen added, Nowadays we put quick make-up on our face like putting a liner, foundation, lipstick and more. Nobody looks at the hidden beauty of our face. We usually don’t put efforts and time to accentuate the inner beauty. So this class is all about the invisible features. When we work on face sculpture, it is very much important for an artist to understand the science behind the face. When we make a face and decorate it we should begin with the science, it’s not only contouring and highlighting. One should know the technique of working on an invisible area of the face, like which part needs to be high and low. So that is the whole concept of our sculpture class.”
