Kiara Soul Kitchen: A Thoughtful Take on Modern Vegetarian Dining
I visited Kiara Soul Kitchen just last week, and what stayed with me wasn’t a single standout moment—it was the way everything came together with quiet precision. The space in GK 2’s M Block Market feels composed and considered, with a kind of ease that reflects directly in the food.

Founded in 2018 by Madhav Windlass and Manav Windlass, the restaurant grew out of a clear observation: vegetarian dining in India often leans either traditional or overly casual, with very few places bridging that space with a contemporary, ingredient-forward approach. Kiara Soul Kitchen sits confidently in that gap, offering a menu that feels current without losing its grounding.
During my visit, what stood out most was how naturally the idea of mindful eating translates onto the plate. There’s no sense of compromise here. Ingredients are clean, seasonal, and thoughtfully sourced—whole grains like Himalayan black rice, quinoa, and millets appear across the menu, while fresh produce, much of it coming from their own farm, brings a certain clarity to each dish. The absence of MSG and processed sauces isn’t something you notice as a limitation; instead, it sharpens the flavors. Even the use of jaggery, honey, and rock salt feels intentional rather than alternative.

The menu moves fluidly across cuisines, but everything feels anchored. The OG Black Rice has a depth that’s both comforting and structured, while the Green Thai Curry, prepared fresh, carries a layered warmth without excess. Small plates like the Shakarkandi Kebab and Sprouts Galouti reinterpret familiar formats with a lighter hand. I found myself returning to the soups more than expected—the mushroom velouté in particular had a clean, rounded finish, and the pineapple rassam added a bright, unexpected contrast.
There’s also a quiet confidence in how the meal concludes. The baked yogurt and baked gulab jamun don’t rely on heaviness; they’re balanced, measured, and leave you with just enough sweetness to remember.
The Ashok Vihar location, larger in scale, carries the same design language—warm, understated, and aligned with the food. Across both spaces, there’s a clear consistency in how the brand presents itself.
Kiara Soul Kitchen has built its identity around thoughtful vegetarian dining that feels both relevant and deeply satisfying. It’s the kind of place you think about revisiting not for novelty, but for the sense of balance it delivers—from the first course to the last.
