Falguni Shane Peacock’s Le Grand Voyage Opens Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 With a Celebration of Travel and Craft

At Taj Palace, New Delhi, Falguni Shane Peacock opened Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 with Le Grand Voyage, a collection inspired by the romance of travel, architecture, and the cultural stories discovered across continents. Known for their distinctive approach to luxury couture, the designers transformed global influences into a collection that brought together history, craftsmanship, and contemporary Indian fashion.

For Le Grand Voyage, the House looked towards some of the world’s most iconic destinations for inspiration. The Byzantine mosaics of Rome, the elegance of Belle Époque Paris, the Gothic architecture of Strasbourg, the royal grandeur of Bavaria, and the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal became references for a collection shaped by artistic details, rich textures, and intricate craftsmanship.

The collection featured hand-beaded tapestry jackets and lehengas, embroidered sherwanis, sculpted corsetry, dramatic capes, and statement eveningwear. Each silhouette reflected the House’s signature language of detailed embellishment and strong construction, while allowing craftsmanship and surface artistry to remain central.

A notable element of the presentation was the collaboration with Kohler, which brought together the worlds of fashion and design through an exploration of colour and finish. Inspired by Kohler’s Colours and Finishes portfolio, shades such as Brushed Rose Gold, Brushed Bronze, Brushed Moderne Brass, French Gold, Teakberry, Cashmere, and Honed Blush were interpreted through embroidery, textures, and couture detailing.

The creative partnership extended beyond the garments with an installation featuring Kohler’s iconic faucets, creating a connection between couture and personal spaces through a shared appreciation for design, material, and craftsmanship.

Speaking about the collection, Falguni Shane Peacock said, “Le Grand Voyage is our love letter to the art of travel and the extraordinary beauty that emerges when cultures meet. Every destination offered its own language of architecture, craftsmanship and artistry, inspiring us to create a collection where Indian couture finds a dialogue with Europe’s timeless grandeur.”

The collection was complemented by jewellery from P.C. Totuka & Sons, whose Colourdrop high jewellery collection featured natural diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and rare gemstones, adding another dimension of colour and artistry to the presentation.

With Le Grand Voyage, Falguni Shane Peacock continued their exploration of couture through global influences, intricate craftsmanship, and a vision that connects diverse cultures through fashion.
