Blue Topaz Elegance

Gauri Khan Elevates Wedding Style in Zoya’s London Blue Topaz Jewellery and Anamika Khanna Couture

Celebrity wedding style often finds its strength in restraint rather than excess, and Gauri Khan’s latest appearance was a case in point. Attending Revati Sule’s wedding celebrations, she chose a palette of soft blue and gold, pairing an intricately embroidered Anamika Khanna anarkali with fine jewellery from Zoya, the luxury jewellery maison with which she shares a longstanding association.

The powder blue ensemble, detailed with intricate gold zardozi embroidery, set the tone for jewellery that was quietly commanding rather than overtly ornate. The flowing silhouette, matching trousers and a sheer dupatta finished with a scalloped embroidered border reflected Anamika Khanna’s contemporary interpretation of traditional Indian craftsmanship, making it an elegant choice for the wedding season.

Blue in Focus

Anchoring the look was Zoya’s Poise Deep Topaz Necklace, a striking expression of contemporary fine jewellery. Crafted in 18-karat gold, the design centres on an eight-carat Serene-cut London Blue Topaz, whose rich, saturated blue shifts beautifully with changing light. Surrounding the gemstone are more than 300 meticulously set diamonds, arranged in sculptural forms that lend brilliance without compromising the necklace’s understated character.

Rather than relying on scale alone, the piece draws attention through its balance of proportion, craftsmanship and precision—qualities that have become synonymous with Zoya’s approach to luxury jewellery.

The Art of Restraint

Gauri completed the ensemble with matching earrings, the Serene Blue Bangle, and two distinctive rings from the maison’s collection. Designed in 18-karat gold with London Blue Topaz and diamonds, the bangle echoes the fluid lines of the necklace, while the Solace Ring introduces sculptural curves finished with the same vivid blue gemstone. The delicate Sunkissed Wonders Ring, centred around a soft morganite and framed by brilliant-cut diamonds, added a subtle contrast without interrupting the harmony of the overall look.

At the heart of the collection is London Blue Topaz, a gemstone admired for its remarkable clarity and deep oceanic hue. Long associated with serenity, balance and inner strength, it brings both visual richness and symbolic meaning to Zoya’s Emergence collection, where each design explores the relationship between personal expression and enduring craftsmanship.

The dialogue between couture and jewellery was particularly compelling. The soft blue tones of the anarkali created a natural canvas for the depth of the London Blue Topaz, while the warm gold embroidery mirrored the sculptural gold settings of the jewellery. Together, the elements felt considered, allowing every detail to contribute without competing for attention.

In an era when occasion dressing often favours statement over subtlety, Gauri Khan’s latest look offered a different perspective. Rooted in craftsmanship, contemporary design and thoughtful styling, it was a reminder that the most memorable wedding fashion is often defined not by excess, but by confidence, proportion and beautifully made pieces that speak quietly for themselves.
