Bata India, one of India’s leading footwear brands, partnered with one of India’s foremost designers, Suneet Varma as he showcased his first ready-to-wear collection.The partnership was a unique exhibit of Suneet’s design ethos and breezy silhouettes, with Bata’s fashion-forward designs from Bata Red Label and Marie Claire under its new Summer Spring Collection 2022.
The collection titled, ‘The Eternal Lightness of Being’ was aimed at celebrating life and living in the moment, with youthful, elegant day and evening separates, with ensembles that transited easily from casual to a more special occasion, with just a slight twist in styling. Suneet’s effortless, feminine and elegant designs with youthful charm, not only offered a perfect prét line, but also closely mirrored Bata’s design philosophy. Bata’s new Marie Claire & Bata Red Label collections feature woven-strap designs, croco textures and square toes that have been curated to resonate with young and fashion forward audience.
Key Features
Caressing textures using crinkled chiffon, crushed georgette, sheer organza and black, red and colourful thread embroideries, formed the highlight of the collection
Adding to the show glamour were the tasselled short dresses, trousers, colour-on-colour sequin and thread embroidery on long evening dresses with seductive slits and shimmery delicate embellishments, and origami-inspired rope embroidery on jackets and- short sexy sarees by the designer.
