Maison D’Auraine launches project ‘Green Salons’

Maison D’ Auraine, one of India’s leading organisation in the Luxury & Premium Beauty Products category amongst the fast growing salon industry has completed five successful years in the country. The brand has recently launched Project ‘Green Salon’ initiative with the sole motive of Think Green, Act Green, the initiative introduced sustainability and an eco-friendly business model for all global beauty brands and salons across the country. With an experience of only five years in the country, Maison D’ Auraine marks the history of the calendar by introducing the novel concept of ‘Green Salons’ to the current beauty industry. 

While being the pioneers in the country, Maison D’ Auraine has taken a step further by informing and educating people on various activities that are not eco-friendly in nature and cause harm to Mother Nature on a daily basis. The organisation aims to set up a green infrastructure in every functional salon in the country. The concept of ‘Green Salon’ emphasizes on the use of more bio-degradable and environmental friendly products in salons, moving away from plastic and shifting more towards ecological and sustainable products having natural ingredients. In addition to this, Project Green Salon focuses immensely about the waste management techniques one can follow to support the good cause of environmental sustainability. 
 
With the increasing focus on sustainability and eco friendly practices in India, the government has been working on various ways to demolish the use of harmful plastic in everyday life. Following this noble cause, Maison D’ Auraine aims at converting all salons into green salons which makes use of bio degradable tools, alternatives to plastic, use of wooden combs, bamboo bowls, paper and careful use of resources like water, electricity along with stressing upon the waste management by affiliating with NGOs all across India. 
 
Arpit Jain, Founder and Managing Director of Maison D’ Auraine says, “Our planet is suffering from enormous amount of non-biodegradable waste, oceans are filled with endless amount of plastic and our aquatic species and planet as a whole is dying. To minimize the damage, comprehensive steps have to be taken for damage control and to conserve the environment. Being a part of the salon industry for past 5 years, at Maison D’Auraine we feel the need to take the responsibility and act as an eye-opener to awaken the industry and encourage the installation of eco-friendly infrastructure.”
