The winning designer, Bloni, will be showcasing his collection at the on-ground edition of FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week being held between 12-16th October 2022.

The winner was declared from a line-up of 8 shortlisted designers – Son of A Noble SNOB by Mani Shankar Singh and Ritu Jain, ESSE by Sahib and Sunayana, Poochki by Ishanee Mukherjee and Anirudh Chawla, Countrymade by Sushant Abrol, Raabta by Rahul, Khanijo by Gaurav Khanijo, Manjushree Saikia’s Ura Maku and Bloni by Akshat Bansal who introduced their labels through a competitive creative expression in line with NEXA’s spirit of ‘create, inspire’ as they presented their collections.
Akshat Bansal’s vision for the collection was inspired by the need to represent reconstructed emotions that comprehend and sculpt the world’s complex new interfaces and altered realities. When bringing the silhouettes to life, his presentation borrowed from the perspective that these new reconstructed emotions then go on to become one of the first cultural artifacts to help discern, analyze, and pictorialize the multiple labyrinths of existences—the terrestrial, outer space, underground, spiritual, digital, historical, and future. The idea that they provide, the cues and stimuli to build our lives, our worlds, our relationships paved the creative direction for his multi-sensorial presentation.
