How to remove hair from the arms and legs? Can I use an epilator? Will it hurt?

Waxing is a good option for hair removal from arms and legs. You can have it done at a beauty salon. It is a common and inexpensive procedure. Waxing removes hair by the roots and it may not grow back for four to six weeks. There will be some pain during the hair removal process, which will decrease with each waxing. Epilator is a small gadget for hair removal. Epilators also pull out hair by the roots and also cause some pain. But, like waxing, one gets used to it with time. Very short hairs may be removed with an epilator, but it’s best to follow the instructions given with the epilating gadget that you buy.

My face is too oily and I also get blackheads. I wash my face 4 times a day.

After washing the face in the morning, wipe the face with an astringent lotion, using cotton wool. In the morning after washing the face, make a paste of baking soda and water. Apply the paste on the areas with blackheads daily and wash it off after 5 minutes. Use a facial scrub three times a week on the blackhead prone areas. Apply on areas with blackheads and rub gently on the skin using small circular movements. Leave on for 5 minutes and then wash off with water. Twice a week, apply a face mask. Mix 3 teaspoons of oats with egg white (or rose water) and one teaspoon curd, so that it is a thick paste which does not drip. Apply on the entire face, avoiding the lips and area around eyes. Wash it off after 20 minutes.

My hands are becoming dark and my skin has white patches due to dryness.

If the white patches have tiny flakes, they can be due to dryness. However, it is also advisable to check them out with a dermatologist. Apply til oil daily and massage it on the skin before bath. Use mild glycerin soap for bathing. Immediately after bath, apply a body lotion while the skin is still damp. This helps to seal in moisture. Mix besan, curd, lemon juice and a little haldi (turmeric) and apply at least three times a week on your hands. Wash it off after half an hour. Then apply til oil and massage it into the skin, as recommended. You can also apply turmeric cream.

Aloo tikki : Take potatoes, boil and let the water evaporate. Peel and mash thoroughly.To the mashed potatoes, add finely chopped ginger, salt, roasted cumin powder, black salt, chopped green chilli, Green Coriander chopped, Amchur powder, Anardana powder, fresh chopped mint and a bit of bread crumbs. Check seasoning.Mix well all these and make into patties. Pan fry on a griddle like the traditional Aloo Tikki and keep aside.Sliders: take two Black Sesame sliders, slide horizontally, apply butter on the cut part, and pan grill on a hot plate. Toast well for a nice golden colour.Assembly:Take the heel of the toasted slider buns, apply the mint chutney and saunth chutney, place the lettuce leaf and the Aloo patty. Top it up with mint and saunth chutney, garnishing with brown onion and roughly chopped sultanas.Finally place the toasted crown on top and serve.

Brioche sliders 2 nos Patty:Take the beetroot, boil it with skin and let it coolOnce cool, peel, and grate the beet. Squeeze out any extra water. Add chopped walnuts, salt and roasted and cumin (Jeera) seeds, mix well. Add the feta chunks.Check for seasoning. Make patties, 50 gm approx. Shallow fry in olive oil. Cook well on both sides. Keep asideSliders: take two Brioche sliders, slide horizontally, apply butter on the cut part, and pan grill on a hot plate. Toast well for a nice golden colour.Assembly:Take the heel of the toasted slider buns, apply home made mayo , place the lettuce leaf and the beetroot feta patty. Top it up with, garnishing with brown onion and roughly chopped sultanas.

Arunanchal Govt signs Sanjay Dutt as ambassador, Rahul Mittra as brand advisor

Legendary Jamaican Sprinter Usain Bolt brings Excitement to Jamaica Pavilion at World Expo 2020

Eleven-time world champion and 8-time Olympic gold medalist, Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt attended the ‘Run the World’ event at Expo 2020 Dubai. The 1.45km Family Run was for charity and sent out a message that sports, health and wellbeing should be accessible and inclusive, representative of society at large. Usain Bolt has repeatedly challenged definitions of what’s possible – pushing boundaries, setting records and making history.

The Sporting legend also brought an extra air of excitement to the Jamaica Pavilion, which has also been voted as the coolest pavilion at World Expo. The Commissioner General of Section, Jamaica Pavilion at World Expo 2020 Dubai, Essie Gardner, provided him with a guided tour of the Pavilion.

Bolt interacted with visitors, made himself available for photo opportunities and signed memorabilia. He spent time at his representation in the sports zone of the Pavilion. He reflected on some of the moments captured on the display video and his maquette on show.

Acknowledged as the greatest sprinter of all time, Usain Bolt has his name inscribed on a multitude of world records. Jamaica has consistently swept Olympic sprinting events and continues to produce the fastest sprinters in the world. The country’s electrifying performance at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics validates its claim to athletic fame. “We have living legends that are there to encourage the kids and just being present. AN EVENING WITH JIM GAFFIGAN (Friday, January 21, 2022)

American stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer, Jim Gaffigan, will take to the stage at Etihad Arena for his first performance in the UAE, bringing his ‘Fun Tour’ to the capital and giving comedy fans something to look forward to in the new year.

Stringent health and safety measures are in place at all venues, in accordance with the current government guidelines. Additionally, pod seating has been created for family and friends to safely enjoy the concert while social distancing from other groups in attendance.
