Rahul Khanna launches Kunal Anil Tanna’s new Autumn/Winter’ 19 collection

 Within the glitz and glamour of the starry evening, ace fashion designer Kunal Anil Tanna launched his Autumn/Winter’19 Collection, titled ‘Alacrity’, with his muse for the collection and acclaimed Bollywood actor, Rahul Khanna at his store in Mumbai.
 
Drawing inspiration from cosseting the soul by reminiscing the delightful past and yet,  embracing the future , Kunal Anil Tanna launched his collection, Alacrity that signifies the cheerful readiness to take on the next phase .
Kunal reinvents his silhouettes and brings in an unwilted sense of restful cheer. Securely layered ensembles reflect a soothing yet enthusiastic appeal. Yet again experimenting with the shirt and trench styles, he immaculately amalgamates them not only with Jackets but also with classic Indian forms like Achkan, Bandi, etc. A refreshing attire option for the modern groom and his boy entourage.
With a forte for developing intricate fabric surfaces, holding on to the cuddling moments and seeking a pampering sense of solace, the patterns are influenced from grand ma’s humbly patched comforters. Cozy cable knits and quilted textures recall the warmth of childhood memories.
Nostalgic hues that set the mood, with a refreshed desire of seeking shelter under the calming deep unsaturated tones. Tints of expresso brown, serene anthracite blue, gentle gradations of slate grey and neutral heritage shades, form a perfect zealous palette. 
Talking about his collection, Kunal shares his thoughts,“The collection is truly about broadening horizons yet having that nostalgic feel to it. I’ve played with silhouettes and layering and that has been refreshing as a designer. And to see Rahul Khanna embody it so elegantly has been a true pleasure.”
Rahul Khanna plays the perfect muse for the evening, further commenting, “It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of Kunal’s new collection. My personal style is classic with a bit of modernity and twist, and Alacrity is just that. Kunal plays with the classic silhouettes and in-house developed fabric texturesand I would love to wear the amazing knit pieces for the Delhi winters.”
The evening was a joyful synergy of fashion and fun where Rahul & Kunal interacted with the media and the event was co-hosted by Men’s Luxury Blogger and Editor at Business Traveller In, Riaan George. 
The vibrant Riaan George shared his thoughts, saying, “It was an absolute pleasure to be co-hosting this curated event with Kunal Anil Tanna, in the company of Rahul Khanna. It was a true celebration of menswear in Mumbai and we got to experience Kunal’s fine tailoring and aesthetics through this. Also, interacting with all of Mumbai’s top men’s fashion bloggers under the same roof was such a delight. This truly proves that in Mumbai, menswear is taken very seriously and that it is now being taken to the next level.”
Kunal Anil Tanna’s style was visible with the looks of Rahul Khanna, who sported a dapper deep green Bandhgala suit with hand quilted texture on the sleeves, worn with a white buttoned-up shirt,and Riaan George wore a mulled beige cotton quilted knit polo neck Kurta, both from his newly launched collection.

Sterling Reserve Music Project exclusively launches Hindi – Punjabi contemporary love song, “Main Sach Bolda,” by Shaan featuring Mustafa

The Sterling Reserve Music Project releases “Main Sach Bolda,” by Shaan featuring debut independent musician, Mustafa, which further builds on the mentor – protégé artist relationship, unique to the platform.
Shaan mentors Mustafa on his debut song and music video. This romantic song also sees veteran Shaan attempting a Punjabi rap-singing form on the song for the first time ever.
“Main Sach Bolda” is a modern, upbeat and romantic love song. While working on the song, Shaan’s aim was to design a song that would highlight Mustafa’s eclectic potential and contemporary singing style along with his vocal range; the outcome being “Main Sach Bolda.”
The theme of the music video
A bachelor party setting, wherein Mustafa is showcased as Shaan’s brother. It is Mustafa’s bachelor’s party, which is impeded by Mustafa’s fiancée, begetting intense drama between the couple. The overall video highlights making amends in a relationship and making it up to your loved one which is conspicuous from the chorus of the song “Mann Ja Mann Ja, Main Sach Bolda.”

It’s often said that if you are obsessed with something as a child you are likely to make it your career option. And that is exactly what Priyal Thacker, founder, and owner of Enrico Eyewear did. She has been a sunglass junkie all her life, and today, her daily work is a constant reminder of her childhood.
“I love carnivals. And every time I would visit one, I would need a souvenir, it could be a cap or a pair of sunglasses or a soft toy. At a point I had, what can be termed as a collection of sunglasses and my father then started refusing me to get more. Lucky for me, my childhood infatuation is now my career, and every day I keep that child who was ogling and searching for something more to get her hands on at every funfair.”

“As a child, I have always loved playing and experimenting with mixing of colors in different forms. Each color brings out a character, feel and emotion. To date, I still do that while creating prints for my brand.”

“Revisiting childhood memories always bring back the inner child in me. As a child my father drove us for a drive which would end up at an Ice Cream shop in South Bombay and we would indulge in chocolate dripping swirly cones and their famous chic-choc.. we still do that every once in a while and as always I find the little starry-eyed kid in me feasting on those yummies.. another would be my stash of comics. I must have read them 100 times and each time they fascinate me even more.”

tThe alumni of PG Govt. College, Sector 11, Chandigarh got together at the book launch of Late Mrs. Baljit Kaur Tulsi, mother of Member of Parliament Shri KTS Tulsi (who is also an alumnus of the college) at his residence. The book titled ‘Aao Sakhi’- a collection of selected poems on feminism was launched by the Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar, Former Chief Justice of India graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. The event was attended by prominent alumni of the PG Govt. College, Sector 11, Chandigarh including Vineet Nanda, Navneet Soni, Sukhjit Dhiman, Jawahar Sarin, Surinder Rathi and Ashish Anand.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said on the occasion, “I would like to congratulate all the members of the Tulsi family on bringing out a wonderful book of selected poems by Sardarni Baljit Kaur Tulsi. The book brings out that the times have changed and will further change towards women. She is a great example of a strong woman.”
The entire Tulsi family including KTS Tulsi’s elder brother Ravi Tejpal Singh Tulsi was present at the launch along with other prominent personalities – Prof. Vanita Manchanda, Assistant Professor, SGTB Khalsa College who recited few of the poems penned by Late Mrs. Kaur; Ajit Cour who is a Padma Shree Awardee and recipient of Sahitya Academy Award as well as eminent writer and poet, Taranjit Kaur along with Tamanpreet Kaur, HK Dua – Diplomat, former MP and former editor of leading media publications.
Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar, Former Chief Justice of India (also a PGGC Alumnus) shared, “It has been a pleasure listening to poetry which takes one into a different world.” Khehar spoke about the Tulsi family and Late Mrs. Baljit Kaur Tulsi and how she was not allowed to go outside the house after sunset. “In protest she would lock herself in a room and I presume this is what encouraged her to become a great poetess. Her poems were so remarkable that Rabindranath Tagore himself appreciated her poems,” he added.
“We take pride in our Alumni friends & family. When Mr. KTS Tulsi told us of the book launch, the Delhi Chapter had to be there! Was a pleasure to meet Justice Khehar our alumnus and also Manmohan Singh jee,” says Vineet Nanda, President, Delhi Chapter of the Alumni Association and President, Ready to move-in Residences at M3M India, one of the leading real estate developers of Delhi NCR.
 
Famous Sufi poet and singer Rabbi Shergill added flavor to the evening by reciting a few of his famous songs including ‘Bula ki jana main kaun’ which is dedicated to his father.
 
 KTS Tulsi thanked the gathering and said, “I would like to thank everyone for spending the evening with us and I am grateful to Dr. Manmohan Singh who is the reason that this book became a reality. It was his order that the entire project began and has been accomplished.”

Art Café at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway is conducting one of a kind workshop ‘Mandala Art’ under the guidance of Ujjwal Gulati. It’s an experiential activity that integrates art and mindfulness into one congenial experience to engage the participants. Ujjwal Gulati, a self-taught artist, and illustrator is best known for his meditative art of Mandalas and Sacred Geometry.
At Art Café, Ujjwal will engage the participants in a meditative experience through the medium on Mandala Art. The workshop is curated to introduce various art forms of Mandalas and familiarize the audience with its benefits as an alternative meditation practice.
Facilitator Ujjwal doesn’t give references to participants to draw but encourages them to make mandalas based on what they feel that keeps them engrossed. The complete duration of the workshop is 2 hours 45mins consisting of an introduction and an interactive session followed by making the Mandalas and an additional 10mins to receive feedback from the audience.
He seeks his inspiration from different elements of nature and believes in guiding the audience through a mesmeric and uplifting session of creating a Mandala of their own, using nothing but their own curiosity and imagination.

Award-winning 2016 film 31st October, starring Soha Ali Khan & Vir Das, set on the backdrop of one of the most fateful days in Indian history, the Sikh riots of 1984 were screened for special guests in Mohali recently.
Writer-Producer Harry Sachdeva along with the Young Progressive Sikh Forum hosted this special screening for prominent Sikhs and influential personalities of Chandigarh & Punjab. Noted philanthropist, film presenter & entrepreneur Dr. Raju Chadha Chairman Wave Group was the chief guest at this niche event, who flew in especially from Delhi, accompanied by son Asees and award-winning filmmaker Rahul Mittra. Prominent amongst those present included Dr. SP Singh Oberoi Managing Trustee Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, Dr. Prabhleen Singh, President Young Progressive Sikh Forum, Divya Sharma from Magical Dreams Productions, apart from others.
