IMC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY’S LADIES WING ORGANIZES PANEL DISCUSSION
Bhandari, the 50th president of IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Ladies Wing, hosted a panel discussion on ‘New Trends in Retail’ on Wednesday, 24th July at the IMC head quarters in Mumbai. Renowned retail industry experts,  Tina Tahiliani Parikh,  Gopi Vaid,  Deepika Gehani,  Avni Biyani and  Nisha Khiani shared their success stories, personal experiences and prophecies of new trends that will shape the growth of the retail industry in the years to come.

Commenting on this,Vanita Bhandari said, “This event stems from the overwhelming response garnered from the IMC Women Entrepreneurs Exhibition. We got 600 applications and have only 200 stalls. This event is specifically to encourage the bank of young women entrepreneurs who want to grow in the retail industry”  The Indian Retail Industry has emerged as one of the most dynamic and fast-paced in the country. With the industry’s sudden transformation due to several new players, the retailers should adapt to new shifts in demographics, attitudes and consumer preferences.

The collection celebrates the same connection between the home where one is born and a home that one finds during escapades of travel, as well as the beauty of nature

Highlights

* Dense play of florals, blended with architectural elements in the motifs on the fabrics on silk organza, to create lightness and for a sense of controlled volume, Muga silk.

* Two- and three-dimensional hand-embroidered surfaces created with Swarovski crystals and silken threads to imitate the lush greenery of rich forests and lakes.

Ivory and pastels colours have taken over cliché reds and golds. Tints of yellow and peaches whereas statement hues have navy and reds.

Inspiration

It takes inspiration from the decorative art form of the same name that originated thousands of years ago but flourished particularly in the 6th-15th century Byzantine empire, when it was gloriously used on walls and ceilings in basilicas and churches.

With monsoon arrives the festival of Teej.  Celebrating this festive spirit, Filme Fashion, the multi designer store, invited city’s fashionistas for some fun, food and fashion.

 The budding designers at the store unveiled their latest festive collection of traditional and fusion wear.  The mesmerizing collection comprised beautiful floor length anarkalis, plazzos teamed with knee length kurtas and hand embroidered dupattas, drape sarees and shararas.  WHile the colour palate rangeds from earthy tones and pastels to bright and cheerful reds and yellows, ideal festive colours.

 Among the guests present were  Singer & Artist Nishi Singh, Lawyer Vandana Aneja, Makeup Expert Kitty Arora, Entrepreneurs Deepika Jindal Gupta, Meenal Modi and Stylist Nidhi Sharma.

Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon, and Varun Sharma promoted 'Arjun Patiala' in National Capital

Today, Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon, and Varun Sharma came to New Delhi for the promotion of their upcoming movie Arjun Patiala. The event was held at The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi. Producer Dinesh Vijan was also present at the event.

Arjun Patiala is a Hindi-language romantic spoof comedy.Kriti  Sanon playing a crime journalist and  Diljit Dosanjh is playing a quirky, small-town cop   The film is directed by Rohit Jugraj. and Co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan jointly. The film is produced under the banner of T-Series and Maddock Films. It will be released on 26th July 2019.

 
Present at the event, Kriti said, “As Arjun Patiala is a comedy movie there was a lot of energy on the sets. I remember a scene in the movie where both Diljit and Varun are drunk and they are slurring a lot. I was not able to control my laugh on the sets and I actually stopped the shoot for a while to just laugh at that scene. Kriti when asked about playing the role of a cop in future, she expressed, ” I would really like to play the role of a lady cop  in the movie directed by Rohit Shetty Sir.”
 
Diljit spoke about the movie, “I never did Out an out comedy, my previous movies were Rom-com. The main reason for doing this movie was it is an out an out comedy, a movie is being told in a movie itself and I am a character of that movie.”
Varun told about the unique concept of the movie,”  Arjun Patiala is a spoof comedy genre which is not been attempted in Bollywood before. In this genre, you make fun of yourself or situations. This movie has a story and as you see in the trailer a movie is being made in the movie itself. Many behind the scenes are shown in the movie, basically, we have shown the truth in this movie and not lied to the audience.”
